I've been seeing a few people talk about trading up to washington's spot at #6 if Quinn is available. I agree 100% with this, but you better believe it's going to take more than a 3rd round draft pick to move up to 6. I don't know those trade value charts or whatever they are, but if you look at past draft trades for teams moving up, there is absolutely no way we move up by swapping 1st's and giving a 3rd. Minimum IMO would be something like swapping 1st's, a 2nd this year, and maybe a 3rd or 4th next year.

Yes it will take a few picks to move up to get quinn if so the case...We should sit where we are at or trade down.

Even though its 3 spots i still believe you could be right. I think that it would involve swapping firsts and a second and MAYBE a late rounder. OR, swapping firsts and a 3rd and 4th(two later rounders). Nothing more than this though. Probably the first option is more realistic.

You know that Washington probably has zero interest in picks anyway. That's not the kind of organization they are. I say we give them Chambers.

:err: I couldn't disagree more, considering the #6 is the ONLY pick they have in the first 3 rounds they clearly are interested in getting more picks.

Clearly I'm exaggerating, but still, if you had to pick the one team in the NFL with the least interest in accumulating draft picks, it would have to be Washington. Their complete lack of picks this year is a pretty good example.

Exactly, and that's why it wouldn't take as many picks, to move up.

most team s follow the draft chart religiously. Pretty straight forward stuff and all media reports support this line of thinking, in that the redskins would concur.l

the redskins are pretty desperate for more picks. if no one trades up for landry they will gladly accept our first n 3rd.

NO IT WON'T!

The Redskins are desperate for picks. They have a first and then not another pick until the 5th round. For that reason they would gladly move down 3 spots and pick up a 3rd rounder. Not to mention the draft chart suggests a third round pick for the difference:

#6 - 1600
#9 - 1350

A 250 point difference. What pick is worth 250? #68, in the THIRD round! We have pick #71 worth 235 points. That pick happens to take place behind Denver who received the pick in a trade with the WASHINGTON REDSKINS!

it's not as easy as just matching the value chart. if another team (like minnesota) wants quinn then we would have to outbid them.

cleveland gave up a #2 to detriot to move up one spot to get winslow.

Just because we think our 1st & 3rd seems fair doesn't mean the Redskins have to accept our offer...
