Just my quick thought this morning, but I feel that even tho it's "just" the Jaguars, it's quite a defining game for us.. We stayed with the Packers, we beat the Bears in their house, so we "should" beat the one win Jaguars, especially the way we've been playing right?! So i feel if we beat this team like we should, (god forbid this board if we lose) the team and fans attitude should be up tempo, feeling positive and ready to take on team by team, with our remaining schedule..
Basically, we gotta beat the teams we should..

If the Dolphins lose this game it's a direct reflection on an inability to prepare and play each week. I expect them to move the ball fairly easily on the Jags defense and should have no problem containing their offense. End result should be at least a 10 point win.

Love the Sig. Need a room like that.

Back to the topic. I think if we demolish Jax then it would show us that Miami is for real and taking the next step. If its a really close game then I would think Miami still has some work.
Go Miami. Goose egg the Jags. Then go tear off a huge win streak.

There is simply no acceptable excuse for losing this game. None. We've had a problem with teams we're supposed to beat for years. We can't be taken seriously until we win those games, preferably in a convincing fashion.

I think we win something like 24-13. People will complain that we didn't break 30 points like they do every week we don't score 30 and they complain we didn't break 40 when we score 30. Always someone complaining about something so don't expect that even in a win everything will be roses here.

Not to mention people complaining about people complaining.

Even if we win, there will no doubt be flaws worth discussion. I really don't understand why some people have a problem with that. If you don't like it, just stick to the "rah rah, we're awesome!" threads. There's no rule that states you have to open and read all of them.

This will be a win.....Cleveland was the perfect matchup for Jax to get win.

This is not a favorable matchup for them....it get ugly quick unless we make enough mistakes or turnovers to keep it close....either way I see a win.

Last week I said the magic number of points we needed to score was 30. The Bears had not scored that many points all season.

This week I'm going to say the magic number is 18. The Jags have only scored more than 17 points in one game, and that was after starting drives on the Cleveland 8 and 7 yard lines. Considering that Cleveland's defense has actually sucked this season, I am confident that the Jaguars will not score more than 17 points on Miami.

The Jaguars have a win, but I think they are actually worse than the Raiders. Carr is playing much better football than Bortles, and defensively both teams are flat garbage.

hopefully they can turn things around this year, and the dolphins thing to do, will be able to beat the teams they should beat. like Oakland.

although I think we are on the right path, I don't quite think we are there yet. IMO we can lose this game just as easily as we can win it.

I think there is difference between legitimate criticism....and unrealistic expectations resulting in constant negativity....but that's just me.

Pretty subjective, isn't it? For some, even huge Tannehill supporters, saying he's inconsistent is a legitimate criticism. For others, it's not and is simply the product of unrealistic expectations.

That was just an example, I don't mean to turn this into another Tannehill discussion. The point is, there a wide range of opinions on this site, which is why it's great. I'm not sure why some so badly want to change that.

I posted a 'complaints' thread after the win vs the Bears. I prefaced it by saying it was a great win and that I was going to be nitpicky. 2 of my 5 complaints were about the playing surface and the officiating, 2 were about how much confidence I was losing in our kicking game (can you really blame me?) and one was a criticism of Joe's decision not to throw a Hail Mary at the end of the half.

You would think I had just shot Lassie from a few of the responses.

Not sure about that. I think it would take a lot of the team falling apart, in order to lose. Well, the fins would have to fall apart, and the jags would have to play perfect football, in order for the jags to win. I think it's much easier for Miami to win this game.
