Two weeks in a row the result was cemented fairly early in the game. Houston could have scored another td at the end if they wanted to. we just are not a competitive team and it really looks like Sparano is already losing the team. Our defense overall has been horrible.
Some obsrvations

1. Chad henne still very inconsistent. I guess we can kill the light has come on theme, although he has gotten pretty damn mobile I must admit.

2. Defense looks totally lost. Can they make a stop to save their lives.

3. Dan Carpenter starting to look quite mediocore after his fine start here. Was among the lowest percentage wise last year and is 3 of 5 so far this year.

4. Well can we all state the obvious and realize that Reggie Bush can not be the main back. He is a specialty back and thats it live with it.

5. Te is pathetic, one week after a good showing Fasano along with the rest of the scrubs dont contribute one damn catch.

6..The one big bright spot is Danial Thomas looks like he may be a find at runningback, did not like what i saw in preseason but very nice game.

I can agree but its not the end of the world for us. Our defense has alot of missed assignments but that can be fixed. If i recall we had the 6th best defense last year and IMO we upgraded on defense talent wise. We just need to put it together. As for offense its not perfect but we are moving the ball alot better than last year. ALOT BETTER

Yep. We will still have those folks saying, "the game was close...if it wasn't for the missed FG's....etc...". Plain fact is that we were simply a very bad team today. Making mistakes that very bad teams make. It isn't just by luck that you have these things happen. It is poor execution and crap schemes.

Everyone may be happy about our new OC...but he was a real problem. He is great between the 20's, but has no ****ing clue when he gets in the red zone. His play calling is predictable and inept inside the 20. How many fades are we going to throw with a QB that I have never seen throw a single decent fade?

Did we even throw to the TE today? Except for Mustard?

Well we assume we upgraded talentwise because we signed Burnett but lets not forget San diego let him go to sign Spikes so maybe he is not as awesome as we would believe. offense does look better in alot of ways but at times the playcalling is just as horrid as last year. Passing offense did not look good at all this week really. Im sure offense will improve but just as sure defense will regress based on whats been seen so far.

The defensive standing from last year was a mirage. We were like the 15th as far as scoring. In other words....average. We just had a low total yard count because of the style of football we played. With the ball posession offense we played, there tended to be fewer total posessions per game...this translates to lower total yards for both sides. So, we really didn't have a great D last year...

This year, now that we are no longer doing the ball control offense and are opening things up...we now see what our defense really is...which is really just average...if that.

Miami's D blows just like it blew last season. Last season was a mirage. Last season the Miami D was constantly violated by any team with an above average QB, and were raped on crucial 3rd down situations regardless of the QB (See BUF,DET, CLE games from last season), didn't create turnovers, couldn't cover TEs, lol 6th in the league yet allowed over 20 a game? Defense is more of the same this year with more extreme bad tackling. I can't understand why NO ONE on defense is hitting RBs and TEs at the LoS, they're running out there freely to any spot they want with no resistance.

Agrees with your points.

To add, seems like the Dline did get more pressure, hurries, and sacks this week. JT came alive for a moment w/ that awesome jump off the ball.

Oline's run blocking improved. But pass blocking regressed.

I think anything was a upgrade over Loudmouth Crowder lol
Jason Taylor wasnt a major upgrade but we did need another pass rusher.
Secondary is pretty much the same as last year.
D-Line is the same but Odrick is healthy.
We upgraded from last year defense.

so with all the upgrades how come we are near the bottom of nfl defenses. maybe teams have figured out our schemes and cornerback and safety is looking real weak right now.

Also our D-Line is a real good D-Line but they are out of shape. Once they get going that will improve the defense alot so they can collapse the pocket. Also Clemons is way better at covering than Jones. Jones has really proved me wrong. Jones makes Clemons looks real good.

Not sure we have a safety that can cover anyone anymore and if davis continues to have problems carrol looks like the next coming of travis danials only faster.

Like I said mental things and out of shape. The lockout really hurt us more than other teams because it takes awhile for our dumb*** coach to condition them and coach them on there plays.
