Mike Shannihan just made it official. I was listening to his press conference just now on KOA850 out of Denver. Cutler starts Sunday night versus Seattle.....I think this is a mistake for Denver as Cutler has no experience.

wow ive been waiting for word out of the broncos camp before taking all the speculation seriously... but we'll see what happens... hey its good for us if they collapse under cutler, haha

This kid is going to be something special, still my favorite QB to come out in this years draft.

It was a matter of time. Im surprised he made the change considering they have a 7-4 record. I thought he would wait until next years training camp.

When you can't decide, it's obvious what you should decide.

Obviously Mike Shanahan reached the "break even" point. Such times look like it's impossible to make a decision, but if that is the case, the decision is obvious. Jay is the future of the Broncos and it would seem he's reached the point wehre Shanahan thinks he couldn't do worse, which means you start him and at least you give the guy real time training. It's clear now he is the Bronco's "quarterback of the future" unless he flops completely.

Mistake would have been to let Jake finish off the year. Its obvious that Cutler was going to be next years starter. Why not start him early. He can't do any worse than Plummer who is ranked 29th as a QB this year. If anyone has been playing like a rookie, its been Jake.

Sure he could. Cutler could finished ranked 32nd

They also said they dont see jake staying there next year so there will be some pretty good qb next season jake, huard, sims ,bledsoe, makes you think if joey wants out we might pick one up ...I think joey wants to be a starter in the nfl..

Shannahon is one of the smartest coaches in the league. Cutler must be ready to go if he is putting him in there. I think it could turn into a good thing for Denver, gives them a guy who can get the ball down the field.
