It's official: Dolphins Activate Cobbs; Waive LeJeune

He looked really good in preseason with the Pats. Looking forward to seeing him on the field!

He will be back on the PS or cut once Ronnie gets back to playing so don't expect him to be great.

That's the problem, I think he has to be waived once Ronnie returns, and like berger, he can be claimed by someone else, I really think the phins wanted to keep him on the PS this year, but now their faced with the possibility of losing him once Ronnie returns..

I think they should just cut Jim Maxwell instead and keep Cobbs on the 53 man roster so we don't lose another promising young player.

Couldnt he just be signed from the PS?

From what I read there he seems to have some knowledge as a DB... with Lejune gone is it possible he might be involved in the nickle and dime packages on defense?

He was signed from the PS, but once that done, he becomes in another category, and if RB comes back, we'll have to cut someone to make room, and that person who's cut goes on the waiver wire, like berger, and we take the chance of losing them, unless they clear waivers, then we can resign them to the PS.

If LeJeune was cut he does not have to be waived..

Ronnie Brown is still on the roster and there would be no need to cut a player. Cobbs took LeJeune's spot. Now if Miami needs another position player then maybe so. But I doubt it.
As much as Miami liked Berger, they were willing to put him out there and ready to pay the price. So he was certainly not unexpendable.

I think Saban said Cobbs would mostly be taking over Morris special teams duties but you have to wonder if it's not just a smokescreen being that Sammy has been so good on special teams.

I am really curious to see how this pans out. Cobbs was great in preseason and Saban talks him up alot about his performance on the PS but Morris had a great game against the Lions. I suspect Cobbs is more of an insurance policy for Morris sloppy ball carrying and we won't see much of him unless Sammy starts fumbling.

The best pure running back should play. This is the equivalent of a playoff because both teams have their backs against the wall. Therefore, Saban should play the guy who gives the team the best chance of winning.

Lejeune!!

why does he sign this guy for one game and than LOSE berger b/c of it!!!
Because ue friggin went to LSU!!! period, if anyone cant see that you are blind!! giving an ex garbage LSU player money for what??? he is not NFL material!!!!

Maybe he signed this guy because Travares Tillman was injured. Say what you want to say about Tillman as a starter, but when he went down, that left the dolphins with a critical hole at special teams and left the 'phins without a fourth safety. That's why.
