Heavy roster bonuses payable only if he is healthy enough to play.

Currently set to be out at least 4 months with the possibility of him not playing at all in 2004.

Can't really tell with the details given. He could have some future guaranteed payments in the deal.

Terrific signing by Miami . Yes there was a detour , but McIntosh has talent and upside and has experience and is young. This is a great LONG term signing for the Dolphins.

No pressure to be ready immediately , so he can get well and eventually become a stalwart RT.

By signing he can also now have access to Miami's medical staff and he can train and rehab under the supervision of the Fins staff.
