Its official-McIntosh replaces Smith.

Thank God!!!! So long Wade, hopefully McIntosh will show you how to actually block a guy.

"Welker was cut by San Diego at the end of training camp. He had signed with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Texas Tech, where he set NCAA records for career punt return touchdowns (eight) and yards (1,761)."

Well, for now. Antonio Perkins will break those records sometime soon. Still, it's good to have a guy who has a track record of production.

just beat me to it, just read it this morning.

THANK GOD! This should be a HUGE change in how our Oline plays. Give Feeley an extra second and actually some blocking. Our offense MIGHT score 14 points this week! WOOOOT!

Wade Smith is a joke

At this point, I hope Smith's awful play is a result of injury, lack of confidence or poor coaching. I would like to think it isn't because he physically can't man the position. Spending a 2nd on someone looking this bad doesn't make me feel warm and fuzzy.

What I can't understand is how a guy with an extra year under his belt, 15-25 pounds more muscle and a second training camp could get so much WORSE at LT???? He seemed to have more awareness or at least intensity as a rookie??!!

i don't understand, that out of our entire O-line from 2003, we release everyone except for the WORST player. does anyone remember what dwight freeney did to us last year? yeah, that was on Wade Smith. That was the game that aroused our suspicions on the O-line last year. so we get rid of everyone BUT the problem. Our O-line this year is worse than our O-line from last year. Maybe we can get our old players back!

He wasnt the worse, just went through some "rookie problems", but it looks like they carried over to his 2nd year. It seems like he only shows up when he wants to. We do not need that.

Thank God - finally they breched that non-blocking BUM

I thought he was a 3rd rounder, Moore was the 2nd rounder????? Isn't this correct?

maybe we should move smith to the right side and replace st. clair at right tackle. it is a lot hard to play the left side, protect the QB's blindside. Then move st. Clair inside to play right gaurd. I think wannstedt is goin to have to try to find different combonations of guys on the line. one has to work.

yea, but we traded our 2nd in 2004 to NE for their third that we spent on Wade Smith.

did you see him on the bench during the cincy game after one of the many 3 and outs where he let pressure through?

he looked like a little baby with his stupid haircut and a passifier in his mouth. no emotion whatsoever.
