I dont know what it is but this year has made it very obvious that we play to our opponents level. When we play the good teams we make few mistakes and play extremely good. When we play bad teams (or teams we should beat) we make stupid mistakes, have stupid penalties, and play bad. Idk why this is exactly but i think it has something to do with either coaching or experience.

This year? I have been saying that since Jimmy Johnson took over back in the 90's.

Lol agreed, but im just saying this year is emphasized bc we have been able to contend with any team thrown our way

Very true, we only play as good as our opponents play. Thats really good, but also really bad :(

Could it be that against cheaper teams we are trying new things and taking it almost as practice and against real teams we play like it's really gameday?

Well I guess the good news is that no cheap teams make the playoffs right? lol

So if we made to the postseason...hmmmmm lol

I just think there is so much parity in the league this year almost anyone can beat anyone. So called bad teams when we played them like Arizona and Baltimore are pretty decent, Seattle have been shocking and had lots of injuries but they have more talent than their record suggests.

I would argue that there are very few top teams (Ten, Pit, Giants) and very few really bad teams (Detroit, Oakland - and even them its more poor management than talent). The rest of the league is an 'Any Given Sunday' situation. Credit to the team though, this is the first time this year we have played well below par and won.

I am not so sure that we play to teams level as much as it is that we lose focus once we have a lead. We haven't had that killer instinct and focus to keep our foot on another team's throat since the NE game. We will get better at putting teams away so that we don't repeat the Texan's game as we nearly did today. We are letting stupid mistakes allow teams back into games when we have them down. Today it was a pick-six, against Houston it was a punt return TD. Our team is too young to keep focus after a huge momentum swing, even when we are ahead. We are getting better though and I expect Sparano will reinforce this even more in the weeks ahead.

All I care about is that we won. If we play to our opponants level, oh well, this week we played just a tiny bit above our opponants level. As a matter of fact, as of today, we are better than the majority of teams we play.\

Can I get a HooYah?

i almost had a heart attack during the final drive. extremly happy we won today, but we didnt deserve to win at all. we got fourtunate on some big dropped passes by them, and we allowed them to get to the qb all the day today. ill take the win anyway, but i hope tony sparano gives this team an earful today, especially the special teams coverage with missed tackles after missed tackles.

had Penny not thrown that bad pick 6, it would've looked better.

This game was a lot closer than it should've been.

I had more hours taken off my life today then smoking a carton of cigarettes!

what were the stupid penalties? did we play bad, other than ronnie having trouble finding the lanes?
