I was one of the few that thought Chad Henne had shown enough promise in the past that with the right surrounding cast and enough opportunity that he could become a very solid player for us.

It is now official. Although it will be miserable and I hate myself for feeling this way. I pray that we lose enough games to get the 1st overall pick in the draft so we may finally turn on franchise around with who seems like a guaranteed pro-bowler at the most important position on the field.

Andrew Luck

Icing on the cake will be the total overhaul of the coaching staff and front office!!!!

You better hope that we get all front office and coaches because if we indeed draft Luck, we have nobody in this organization that could groom him properly.

Never thought I'd get on board with this, but what do we have to lose? We need someone to energize this franchise, and he could be the answer.

Forcing your fans to root for losses is the worst thing a team can do it's fanbase. Unfortunately, if you give a damn about the future of this team, you have no choice but to hope this lost season brings us Luck and a whole new regime.

This must feel like it did for the Lions fans all those years...

We need to get a old vet to be a starter next year and draft a Luck, vet to show him how to play the game right and teach him the system.

I have been of this mindset for over a year. It sucks to have it this way but it is clear that things are going the wrong way.

He can start as a rookie. It won't be pretty, but like Bradford he'll hang in there. I'd rather he get the experience. Besides finding quality vet QBs is not exactly easy.

Which is why I wish Chad Pennington was still with this team in some capacity. Having someone like Penny there to mentor Luck would be invaluable in his development.

OMG...We are the old Lions & they are the Marino led Fins...

BTW...Indy wants luck and Polian even scouted him at the Duke game a couple weeks ago. Indy knows how to draft & knows talent. Don't you think it strange a team that has been in the mix for 10 straight seasons all of the sudden loses the QB and drops like a stone in the ocean.

Indy will beat us out in the Luck sweepstakes...count on it.
****** would draft the highest rated Ol anyway...

Yeah, he's the ideal vet QB. Shame he wasn't physically capable of playing in this league.

We don't need a vet. He is good enough right now as to where he'd be a top 15 QB his first year.
