We really need to chill with the negativity. We've played two games...its a very long season and we WILL get better. Everyone on the Hurricanes message board has written that team off, please don't you all do this!
 
I agree with you about the Dolphins. This is a long season and they will improve. I still see the other 3 teams in the division as very flawed, as well. This isn't over by a long shot...though they do need to wake up soon!

The Hurricanes, on the other hand? They're done!

I agree 100%. We're still in good shape and the season is young. Thank god this isn't college, or else we would be done. 2 losses in college and your championship hopes are gone. 2 losses in mid- September in the NFL= NO BIG DEAL. GOTTA BELIEVE BOYS AND GIRLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Five more losses, and I'll give up hope for the 2006 season. Until then, it's one game at a time.....

Everyone on the Hurricanes message board is DEAD RIGHT! Until we get rid of Coker, we won't be winning a damned thing...he's nothing but an ethical version of Dennis Erickson.
 
I didn't say I disagreed with them...just stating the fact that I don't want that to happen to this board as well. If that happens, I'll have no place to go.

Dude, I feel the same way. I look forward to football season to distract me from the woes of the world, to have something to look forward to each week. Now, both my college and pro teams suck and I don't look forward to watching them because it's just as depressing as everything else in the world.
 
How many times have the Dolphins started out 6-0, 5-1, 6-1 or whatever and NOT made the playoffs?
Does anybody remember how the 1993 season turned out? Started 9-2, beat some great teams, (Dallas, Kansas City, Cleveland, Buffalo, Philadelphia), but lost the last 6 and missed the playoffs.
It's not how you start the season, but how you end it.......ask the Steelers for proof.

There's a big difference between pro and college football. In college, you lose one game, and your hopes for the national championship are pretty much gone. Lose two, and you've pretty much got to win the rest of your games just to make it into the BCS. In the pros, you can lose a couple early in the year and still be a Super Bowl contender.

I agree with you about the fins, but the writting is on the wall for the Canes and Coker....sorry man, but I hate Coker.
 
I think the dolphins are ready to turn this thing around & play some winning football, as many people who are down on the dolphins & Culpepper especially, I say this last game he looked lost, uncordinated & rattled most of the game, the guy still finished the game completing over 70% of his passes and only had one turnover, and threw for 250 yards, despite being sacked 7 times... Imagine what he would have done if feeling confident, protected & incontrol... Now that's upside. When you don't look like you belong on the field, you still put up better numbers than Tom Brady did against the same team.

But seriously, you guys just aren't giving Coker enough of a chance. Give him another 3-4 years and he'll have that team hummin'! :rolleyes2

I dont know why you think we are in good shape. We are 0-2 and last in our division. If you think we are the only team that is going to improve throughout the season you're out of your minds. We need to win and win now. All of you that think there is still time left are sorely mistaken.
