What's out there to stop them? Karma has been appeased.

No one thinks that record can be approached again for another 50 years. Why? Miami got there once, so they can do it again.

I think Miami's next opportunity at the scoring record is when they play the NY Giants at home on October 8.

OMG...my imagination is running wild over this. To get the record another team will have to go through what Denver did. That would be sick!

There is one limiting factor. That scoring record would have to be achieved by the 2nd team offense and defense, because first string would get pulled at around 55 points. So...how deep is Miami? Mike White deep. That's right. Mike *#*$&@ White!

Do you think the 2nd squad would not try for that record? How could you resist it after getting a taste?!?!

I don't see why we can't put up a very high average score per game...the Patriots came as close to stopping them as I think we'll see all year, unless McDickhead up in Barfalo figures something out. But I can't see the perfect storm of 70 or 70+ happening again. You gotta realize, that **** hasn't happened in over 57 years! That is exceedingly rare. We should, however, expect some 40 burgers...enough to feed a small family anyway.

I'm so happy you wrote that! I highlighted that sentence in your quote.

What are the Miami Dolphins this year if not an exceedingly rare team? I've never seen anything like them before.

Think about October 8 at home. It's still hot. The NY Giants are very standard pro football team this year. They'll be wearing dark helmets and dark blue jerseys.

It's the same setup as Denver, isn't it?

This is on every channel right now. They are the talk of the country. Simple answer is yes because nobody has an answer for us
I have watched several shows today just to see what the Dolphin narrative is in a media that always seem to over look the Dolphins.

The Dolphins have received a lot of positive reviews as expected but almost every sports show started out spending several minutes discussing the Cowboys losing to the Cardinals instead of talking about the 3-0 Miami Dolphins.

Eventually they all got around to talking about the Dolphins but having to listen to all the loser Cowboy talk prior to discussing the Dolphins just reminded me why I hate the Cowboys and watching the national sports media.

We have higher priorities than setting a scoring record.

Playoffs. Winning a playoff game (you do know it’s been over 20 years since we did that, right?), AFC Championship, and bringing a Lombardi home.

Last time we did that was the 73-74 season, fifty years ago.

Couldn’t care less about any record other than the 2024 Super Bowl champs.

THATS the one I want.

The only thing I'm doing is pointing out that it is still possible. I've not said anywhere to focus on it. Sure...playoffs....SB. Who doesn't want that track for this team?

But if the opportunity presents itself somewhere along the way, the Dolphins should go for it. There are a lot of people who said we should have tried for the record against Denver. Why? Well, it's because it's a story that players can pass on to their grandkids. Much like the Hall of Fame, which some players aspire to, any record or honor plays second fiddle to the main focus which is winning the next game as a team. Records and honors will naturally come from doing that.

The entire football world knows what the NFL scoring record is today. It's a number that's way up there...but doable for the Dolphins if the opportunity presents itself.

My argument is based on the presumption that the opportunity to break this particular record will be whenever the Dolphins play a regular caliber NFL team this year. That next team just happens to be the Giants.

But what a joygasm I'd have if we put a 70-burger on the Bills!
That would make a record like that even more special!

You folks are just going to have to accept the fact that our team is going to break some...if not a lot of records this year. Enjoy it!

I would never say it "CAN'T" happen, I just don't expect it TO happen...if it does, fantastic, but that would be like hitting the lottery 2 weeks in a row. You can never expect 70...

Yet, the Dolphins have proven that they could do it.

I guess we've hit the lottery as fans, because the Dolphins are *****ing unstoppable, impressive, and scary. It's like a dream come true.

With this team, anything is possible.

It sure does look damn impressive, but they're not unstoppable. With McCoachin' at the helm, I have all the faith in the world they'll scheme and plan to near-perfection. But they'll make mistakes that will cost (see first 2 games, that weren't easy wins), but will the cost bring a loss?

We HAVE hit the lottery IMO...with McDaniel, Tua and Tyreek being the main cogs. But its a LONG NFL season, during which injuries happen at bad times, other teams' defenses catch a good scheme/plan, and all teams make mistakes. That's why nobody has gotten 70 in 57 years...it has to be a perfect storm.

The only important game is the next one. This is a must win in my mind for avoiding buffalo there in the playoffs.
We need to contain allen. All the other crap about records needs to stop before we are in 2nd place in our division. Go 🐬🐬 stay focused

You're going to have to explain how the musings of a forever fan about records is going to affect our position in the division. Wouldn't it be really weird if I had that kind of power? ;)
