It's about time that our draft picks sign, others have been signing with teams all day. I am willing to bet that more then 1 of our rookies sign this week. The only problem is Ronnie Brown.

michael bradley signed with the bears a couple of weeks ago I think...

there are a few signings but nothing major.

Most will probably get done next week... a lot of the rooks will wanna get into camp on time.

Sign guys

Pat Kirwin and others keep writing about how the guys that sign early end up getting more money than the guys that hold out and yet these rookies hold out for very little in the end. Get a fair contract, get into camp, earn a starting job, and after a couple years if you have proven yourself then get more money. First you have to earn it.

your right I mean these guys are millionaires anyway especially if you go in the 1st round, they are greedy

i disagree... one awkward hit and their career is over... they aren't greedy.

Overpaid, yes, greedy, no

I'm not saying that if I was in their position that I wouldn't do the same thing I probably would hold out but it seems really greedy when the average person is only making what like 40k to 50k a year maybe less?

yeah... but the average person is that... average.

I totally agree with anyone that claims that sportsmen and women are overpaid; however, I could never call them greedy.

What i dont understand is that they really aren't many rookies signed so far. I mean this time last year there was quite a bit of them.

I dont always know if its the players themselves who are greedy or just the agents, I know ronnie browns agent is one who has had a few other guys hold out so that doesnt look promising.

  • 68% of DP's sign in the month of July.
  • 22% sign in June
  • 10% before or after

A few players are greedy. But you do risk life and limb playing football so some of their contracts are acceptable.

Ronnie Brown will be in camp and will play in the HOF game. I just hope Cedric Benson will be there...

Exactly. Rookies have been getting greedy lately when they have yet to prove anything, like Winslow Jr or Rivers.
