Before i say anything i have to say i am not calling allen a bust or anything like that. all i wanted to bring up is that touchdown he gave up. as a safety you have to be over the top on that coverage and help the corner out. he broke later than my grandma would have on that ball. to me thats just inexuable i dont care if yu get beat deep or something but when your in the red zone and youve got the deep half u have to get over there. thoughts?

to say i was VERY disappointed in Jason Allen's play today, is a huge understatement. He was lost in coverage on so many plays... poor tackling effort on some plays... Just... very disappointing play today from him.

If I hear anymore more possible comparisions of him and Polamalu, I will puke:shakeno:

he had a couple lousy tackles too, one on the second td for Jax. A real hitter wouldnt have allowed a td....or a completion for that matter. he scares me a bit.

from what I saw he was playing the ball, ball looked like it was overthrown, those WR were huge with long arms and if you watch, they went way up for most of the balls. Allen was where the ball would have gone had they not lept up n snatched it outta the sky. The WR of the Jags completely killed us today, they won the game.

well since hes a rookie he gets the slide for me...but alot of other good players get burned here and there and miss tackles

He really took some lumps today.

But, that's all part of the rookie process. He was also looking good prior to today. If you think that Michael Huff and Donte Whitner haven't also taken some lumps this year you're fooling yourself.

Hes another Saban player playing like a Saban player. Its not Allen, its Saban. Thats the bottom line.

Hey he didn't play well today. Has been pretty decent in limited time this year. Oh yeah and he's a rookie. RELAX!!!!!!!

You hate Saban, that's the bottom line

I do agree however here is my other problem and football players past and present should know this.......ok whoever that corner was did something that i believe i noticed and did not like.....when you are in a zone coverage and nobody is threatening to come into your zone you must cary that reciever into the next zone and sometime even play it like man if no one is in your zone.....so with that said from what i noticed there was no reciever comming into his zone and the corner was like "ok he is out of my zone now not my problem" and that is totally totally wrong ..again i only saw the play twice but from a quick review it really looked that way to me....anyone else? again not bailing allen out though

homeboy got caught looking into the backfield...probably thought Garrad would run a qb draw...yeah, he's a rook...but yall know it, the whole bunch looked hungover out there today...slow-of-foot and dimwitted...alot like the entire 1st half of this sada**ed season...c'est la vie
