Surtain is already under contract. If KC wants to give him a new
deal they can after they trade for him. Miami has nothing to do with that.

No KC can't take Surtain's Cap Hit first he has to sign an extension (with Miami) then he and his contract can be "traded" to KC

This is a good thread as any to post this in. Carl, DV, and Chiefs Director of College Scouting Chuck Cook were on the sportsradio here in KC today. Evidently when they were interviewing Chuck he slipped up several times, and said we, as in the Chiefs, wouldn't have a 2nd round pick. Maybe the deal between KC and the Dolphins is already done and they are just quibbling over smallish stuff or waiting until Friday to announce it.

Nice catch! Its all in the nonverbal communication. I believe this more and the other thing here is that I believe Saban basically told them to wait until the 1st round of the draft is over. Why? Because we may already have 2 second rounders at that point. that puts more pressure on KC. We may end up with more than we thought. Kind of doubtful but there is no doubt that time is on Miami's side on this one.
