Jackson Tuesday Stuff!

I hope we keep:

- Chimichanga Chewbacca at CB
- Warmsely and cut Fede or C Jones
- Roll w 2 QBs (Tanny and Moore) and see if we can PS Dysert or Doughty - no need to have 3 QBs on the 53
- Don't put Pead or Drake on the STIR - injuries don't sound too serious. Cut Damien Williams instead
- Focus on a LB from the outside as guys get cut (Tulloch, Kruger etc) - none of our depth are any good
- Get Culliver and Jordan on the field when ready and when time comes, obviously cut the guys they are better than - assuming that happens

glad to hear we might not waste a roster spot on a 3rd qb. If we do keep one Dyset looks better than Doughty

I'm a big fan of Warmsley's play this preseason. Hopefully he can stick, and continue to produce

tannehill is tough enough to warrant only carrying 2 qbs, truthfully.

Every time Suh speaks he continues to confirm he is one of the most intelligent men in the NFL.

I'd keep Dysert. He's come quite a ways under Gase's tutelage and could be Moore's replacement long term. Doughty to PS. Warmsley makes the 53.

Sounds like a logical plan to me. I like the idea of only keeping two QB's. Neither seem to be special enough to protect on the 53. PS is fine for one of them.

Also agree on RB's. Doesn't short term IR dictate that the player cannot be active for 6 weeks? If so, no reason to put Pead on this if he is only going to be out for two weeks. Just roll with Ajayi, Foster, Pead & Drake. I may think about keeping 5 if we can get by with 2 Qb's but it really comes down to who that 53rd man ends up being.

Jordan and Culliver to NFI.

You really think Philly is going to cut Tulloch after just signing him? Kruger would be a DE in Miami. He is 280 lbs.

I want to get a look at Chimdi. I am also rooting for Ulrick John in favor of Urbik or Douglas. I think he's good competition for James and our best option at RT.

I would be surprised if Chris Jones is cut since he has been running with the starters all preseason. He's pretty high on the depth chart. Not sure what's going on with Mitchell's calf. He could start the season on PUP or they could get smart and cut him loose.

I can't believe they would start Paysinger over Hewitt in place of JJ.

Next waive of cuts would hopefully bring a better option at LB, CB or TE. A DT would be nice.

Whoever the 9th DB is he shouldn't get to comfortable because he'll be cut as soon as Culliver is healthy.

I see a few issues with that. 1. Foster, Drake and Ajayi are injury prone. Not having a healthy 4th option could be shooting yourself in the foot. 2. Pead starting on short term IR (which is 8 weeks) hurts special teams since that 3rd and 4th RB is usually on specials. 3. Doesn't the 4th RB usually help with the scout team?

Think the Patriots might leave an empty roster spot for a backup QB? We have a new coach and we know Belichick can't survive without knowing exactly what we plan to do, especially with a backup QB at the helm. If they sign two or three of our players (again) the rules need to change (directly because of Belichick skirting the rules... AGAIN!!!!).

You might want to re-read what I wrote. Never said to only keep 3 RB's or suggested Pead to IR.

I read it. You're going with 3 RBs for the first two weeks of the season. I'm not sure Drake won't get hurt in the 4th preseason game to be honest. For at least two weeks you put yourself in a bind on special teams and with your depth.
