jacob Eason declares

I like Eason a lot. Has a lot of tools and has a good IQ for the game. A lot of the mistakes (not all but alot) are IMO correctable with coaching and experience. Not saying with pie first pick but he is an intriguing option with one of the other 2 picks

Eason and Love are both interesting options in trade down scenarios, or perhaps with the Pitt pick. I think they'll both to higher than currently projected. Wonder if our staff falls in love with either of the two.

Would be interested in the experts takes on both..... how do they compare with day, Justin Herbert?

Underrated.

Needs to better understand how to read defenses pre snap - particularly identify the alignment of safeties indicating where the blitz is coming from, or if it's just a bluff. Similar to Tannehill in that regard.

If you can correctly identify the alignment of the safeties, they'll tell you all you need to know in regards to where the extra guy is coming from - or if the guys jumping around at the LOS are just bluffing. Everybody else can bluff you in terms of what the defense is going to do. The safeties will not lie.

A lot of free blitzers get in there on Eason. Once he gets the hang of it he'll be off and running. Arm talent is superior.

I fear the Patriots will get him at #30 or so. He's just the kind of guy the Pats would get, groom for a year under Brady (he aint retiring lol) and whoop the AFC every year.

I wonder how Eason would have been if he didnt get injured at Georgia, and stayed. He'd probably be 1st round. Not sure why he chose to go to Washington of all places.

He's got a great arm but I worry about how static he appears in the pocket there. Tannehill comparison is what I worry about here. I'm not liking the fit for us, think we can do better this draft or I would rather defer till next year. This is a kid that had to leave Georgia because he could get past Jake Fromm, that scares me !

He must have gotten a first round grade from the scouts, because I doubt he would come out like Love if he hadn't gotten that. Think both him and Love could have used another year, probably more so Eason because Love was a 3 year starter. In the first I wouldn't touch Eason at all.

I would trade back into the first to select him. Or burn a couple picks in the first then use that 3rd to grab him.

I think His draft projection is a product of timinG. Another year inthat system and folks would be putting him where Herbert is this year

well Jake Fromm is known as being a great "game manager" and very poised. Not getting past Fromm doesnt make you bad at all.

I think the problem in GA is that Fromm looked good in the beginning and Eason got injured. Then this season, Fromm regressed a lot. He looked horrible this year and not worth a draft pick. I’m sure GA wish that they would have had Eason this season over Fromm.

I’d take Eason with our 2a pick and let him set for a year.

Interesting I was out shopping today and wound up talking to a couple of GA fans.

I asked them about Fromm and... They both thought he definitely underwhelmed

and were NOT confident he's the kid who will be clutch and WIN the game...

They both said he's not ready for the PROs.

Eason does have a great arm and he completed 64% of his passes. He needs some work but so do most QB's coming out this year. Need to keep an eye on him.

I can see the temptation in the second round, but I would take a chance on Tua's health, Herbert, Love or Hurts before Eason. As we saw with Tanny, it's very hard to teach that pocket presence, that's for me Eason's biggest issue. As I said before I doubt he declared unless he got a first round grade, so he's probably not going to be there at 2a anyways.

This is the kind of guy I think we should take a chance on. Plus arm and size and can get him mid to late first or if we are lucky maybe second.

I don’t see a QB worthy of the 3-6th picks, assuming Burrow goes 1 to Cleveland.
