I think this free agent corner from Dallas might end up on the Dolphins roster. His brother-in-law is Coach Bowles.

he sounds like a french painter...... if he is not blood relations with Bowles, then no thank you!!!

I think N.Jones & K.Davis will come with him.

I hope not, He get's beat more than a prisoner in a third world country..

Yea, Reeves is horrible. He is always picked on by QBs and never has his head turned around so either he gives up a long play/TD or he gets called for PI. He will bring back nightmares of Reggie Howard.

I think this guy gets bashed a little harder than is really fair.

First off, the guy opposite him is Terrance Newman, about the best kept secret as far as shut down corners go. People usually can't throw his direction because his receiver is usually covered. Naturally, passers throw the other direction.

Now, this was the first year that Reeves was asked to start. For the most part, he did a good job considering he had never started before this year.

This kid has some upside still and he has one uncoachable aspect to his game - speed.

Now, at some point, the light is going to come on and his natural athleticism is going to begin to shine through.

I know for sure, Cowboys fans are really down on him, but, then again, Cowboys fans are down on Marion Barber too, for some unjustified reason.

Personally I think the Cowboys would be making a mistake if they don't resign him.

Please dont say that name around here lol. I HATE the guy with passion.

I have to agree with glacier to an extent. I think Reeves got better as the year went on, but he still has room to improve. He did a great job filling in the starting role after never having started before. Terence Newman, however, was not always across from him. Newman missed quite a few games at the start of the season due to the tear in his plantar fascia, then developed tendinidis (sp?) in his knee. Anthony Henry, our other starting corner, started opposite of him until Henry got that high ankle sprain against the rams. Neither Newman or Henry were fully healthy all season after that, which is why Reeves started every single game past season. He was out there, but he never started across a Healthy Newman, but with that said. I completely agree that he is not given enough credit. There were times when the giants were picking on him, and Burress made him look bad, but Burress made a lot of corners look bad. It would be a mistake for us to let him go, especially if he keeps improving. If you pick him up, it will be a solid signing.

PS: I don't know any Cowboys fans down on Marion Barber. From the response of the rumors to trade him, most fans ware extremely mad, wanting to keep him. Fans love this guy.

If you want him, you can have him.

The guy freaking sucks. He lines up 15 yards off the receiver every freaking down, even gave one WR a 10 yard cushion when the ball was on the 5 yard line. Of course it was a quick slant for a TD.

He as #4 on depth chart, then Aaron Glenn got released and he moved to #3. Then Newman got hurt and he moved to #2 and started. Newman came back and then Henery got hurt against the Rams and Reeves stayed at #2.

He was never drafted to be a starter, just happened this year because of injury. That is why almost every mock draft has Dallas taking a CB with 1 of their 2 first rounders.

FYI

he is not as bad as being made out. I definitely don't want him starting, but he has gotten better since that first game of the season. You're right, he was never drafted to be a starter. He was drafted to be a developmental player, just like Courtney Brown and Alan Ball. They were not drafted to start. They were drafted as projects and to add depth. The fact that Reeves played the way he did considering when Parcells drafted him made it pretty impressive in my opinion. Whether Reeves stays or not, the team needs CB depth. It will draft CB or pursue in free agency because this season showed us how thin we were in the secondary when a starter goes down. Don't put the guy up on a pedestal, but give him more credit than that. He played average. I wouldn't say he sucked or excelled. The reality is, without him, we would have been in major trouble. Like it or not, he was the glue that kept the secondary together

Coach Bowles is NOT Jacques Reeves brother-in law. Coach Bowles is not married and when he was it was not to Jacques sister...
