Deke is definately capable of starting at FS for a lot of teams in the league. I think he can play that position at a relatively high level. He isn't a playmaker--- he's best as a "pass-support" guy. He played out of position last year at SS, I think. You may have landed a gem in him if the secondary is a weakness of yours.
Apparently he is good in pass coverage but a liability in run support...

Thanks for the link.
I'm kinda suprised that we would sign him if he is as poor a tackler as they all say he is.

Well, thats actually not such a bad thing, because its tough to finding safeties who can cover... Finding safeties that can play the run is far easier.

Keep in mind Renaldo Hill is considered an excellent tackler, and I thought Tillman and Bell both were pretty solid in this regard.

that was the other guy... the guy from Oakland. (look at me, I look like such a baseball fan)

I live in Jacksonville and went to some jaguar games with some friends. I watched cooper all season and i think he has the makings to be a solid all around player........especially with saban's help. He already is very solid in coverage and has shown flashes of being able to hit.

I like our group of safeties- Bell, Tillman, Hill and Cooper. I like the mixture of speed and physicality.

I have seen him play as well and i think with some more coaching he could be pretty good. By the way fin nasty i love your sig.

cover guy more important dont wann get burnt deep and the guys 6-3!!!!!!
