Jaguars lineman unloads on Tim Tebow

Plenty of people in Jacksonville would love to see quarterback Tim Tebow become one of the newest members of the Jaguars.

One of them isn't current Jaguars offensive lineman Uche Nwaneri, who has started 28 games over the past two seasons.

In a posting on the team's official message board (our pal Vito Stellino of the Florida Times-Union has confirmed through the team that Nwaneri wrote the item), the three-year veteran was candid in his assessment of the former Florida quarterback.

Here's Nwaneri's five-point breakdown:

"5. He cant throw. PERIOD.

"4. He cant read any coverage other than probably cover 2 or man cov. PERIOD (the only cov. in college lol).

"3. the QB wildcat WILL NOT WORK IN THIS LEAGUE. PERIOD.

"2. He doesnt know how to take a snap from center, nor is he even comfortable enough to.

"1. HE CANT THROW. and thats really something you either have or not, never seen a qb who couldnt ever throw, just all of a sudden be able to throw just because hes now in the NFL."

So there you have it. On the very site owned by the team owned by a man who has made clear his interest in acquiring Tebow's rights, one of the team's fairly important employees has offered a contrary opinion, in very strong terms.

Kid has a good heart but that means nothing in this league. Cant throw the ball and for all the.people talking about moving him to TE what a joke he is slow and his change of direction is awefull. He had a good collegic carrer but now its timeto give it up.
 
while im not an advocate for Tebow, what the hell does an offensive lineman know about being a QB? Does he run routes, catch the ball, knows how to throw a football himself. BTW ive never even heard of that guy.

i guess he knows about just as much about playing QB as everyone at Finheaven...

I personally dont think hes gonna be good.
 
In tim Tebow plans on staying in the NFL he need to find another postion or work on his Dilivery i disagree when they said he cant read defenses right now maybe he cant because like they said all they run is college is pretty much cover 2 and man to man but tebow is very smart and i think he could learn
 
I hope they move Uche to center so he has Tebow's hand in his *** for the rest of his Jaguar career.
 
The difference with Pat White is that White has a much better arm than Tebow and proved to be a much more accurate passer.
 
Whether you like Tebow or not Uche Nwaneri has no room to criticize any QB.

Tebow just wants a shot at QB, a shot I think he deserves. For all of his weaknesses, he does have good height, size, arm strength, and IQ. Yeah he needs A LOT of work, but this isn't like Pat White where you have a guy that doesn't have NFL size. If he doesn't work at QB, he said he'd gladly play another position.
 
I think Tebow will be a good but not great FB drafted in the 6th. Whoever takes him could draw up some option throws for him as well.
 
Tebow will get a large amount of money from some sucker team (like the Jags) and will flame out in 3 or 4 years. He will then take his ill gotten booty and use it to help indoctrinate the ignorant and downtrodden people of some 3rd world country into his religion.

Pretty sickening all the way around.
