The bright spot, i think so far on the O-Line this year, is Jake Grove. Who would have thought that Grove would be out-playing all the other lineman. There were some questions about his injuries and if he can stay healthy, but i think that bringing him in was the best thing that happened to this team over the off-season. With Jake Long getting bullied so far this season, Grove is looking like the 1st round pick that Long is. And i am not saying that Long is bad, im just saying Grove has out-played Long to this point. Even though, Grove's toughest test, so far, comes the next to weeks with Stroud and Jenkins in the next two games. After these two games, we will see if Grove is as good as he has been so far.

I did. I defended his acquisition, I defended him during the preseason, and I told all of you that he would transform our running game. Also, I told everyone his injury concerns were overstated. I hope I am right about that!!!

you are so far.

I thought he'd be good. Hope he can stay healthy. When healthy, he's a top-5 Center. I think everyone's looking good again in the running game, and Long's issues in pass protection have been overstated.

To tell you the truth, all our OL guys have played well these past two days. Let me say something I've seen, Thomas is a bull. The guy can clear a hole and is great at pass blocking DL one on one. The true test will come these next two weeks when Grove, Smiley, and Thomas take on two of the best in Stroud and even better, Jenkins.

I never doubted his ability... just is ability to STAY HEALTHY!!! i realize it's been only 3 games, but, WOW what a difference, in the base running offense, this guy has made...

Didn't he get steam-rolled by the rookie NT during the SD game, or was it the G?

Long gave up the sack in game 1 because Grove was off on his snap count.

Henne got sacked in his first play didn't he from a blitz right up the middle.

They've run the ball well, but the pass blocking has not looked all too good. I think that has to include the center.

Fasano is being used to block more than last year isn't he because of their struggles as a UNIT.

Using Pro Football Focus stats to compare our linemen, Grove ranking within his peer group is significantly better than the other linemen.

Best center in the AFC *******. Who ever doubted the signing of this guy needs to be executed now.

I was one who predicted this.........I loved him at VT and Im still a true fan!

He was awful in the first game, but pretty good in the last 2.

I like our o-line a lot. I was happy to get Grove, but I wish we wouldnt have traded Satele. He was well-rounded and a versatile back-up who could start for us whenever needed.

This line will be a strength of Miami's for a long time.

Btw, I didn't think Jake Long played that bad so far. He's had two tough match-ups and he appears to be learning very well from miscues and mistakes, imo.
