The unsung hero of our offense. Great trade that made R&R the force we all thought they were capable of. Thomas has also been awesome. I think Grove was our best acqusition of the off season, minus smith and davis. He had a bad couple of games at first but he is really getting after it in the trenches. Great trade trifecta.
 
Agreed. After week one I was a bit worried, but he seems to be rounding into form quite nicely and our line is starting to gel. :up:
 
Absolutely agree. I think its time for those that were critical of the signing at the time (and there were many of them) to come out and admit that they were wrong. Jake Grove has been an absolute stud, and probably one of the main reasons our running game is tops in the league. Question the FO all you want about Wilford and Gibril and Eric Green, but one area they have not missed on is the offensive line, with Grove and Smiley. They arent big names like Faneca and Jason Brown, but they have come in here and performed like Pro Bowlers.

I was a staunch supporter of this signing from the beginning. as I remember most didn't doubt his talent, they were worried about the injury history (which was overblown, imo).

We didn't get Grove via trade. He was free agent.

Grove was a FA.

We sent satele to the Raiders for a DP....

The Miami Dolphins have traded one-time starting center Samson Satele to the Oakland Raiders for a draft choice.

Satele became available this spring when the Dolphins signed former Raiders starting center Jake Grove as an unrestricted free agent three weeks ago.

Interesting, so basically we traded satele and a 6th for grove. My fault. They happened so close together tho.
