So just to recap we can thank the fist pumping meatball for his knee getting rolled up on in a meaningless preseason game! Oh thanks again meatball for screwing his shoulder up by continuing to play him after he injured it with no shot of the playoffs! Way to value player health! Unbelievable people still defend him!

I think Jake has more than held his own as one of the elite LT's in the league . . . and Freeney is allowed to beat Jake . . . he isn't this invinceable LT . . . Freeney is probably a borderline Hall of famer right now. Many of the best pass rushers in the league put Jake Long right at the top of the list as the best OT. He also ranks among the elite run blockers at OT as well.

If you had to pick a weakness, yea I would say speed rushers . . . but just because its a weakness on him, he is still better than the majority of the guys playing the same position.

Agree, he is an elite run blocker that strugles with speedy rushers and I think playing hurt will not help on his future, he could end up being a Boselli part 2, I am praying he doesn't but it is a concern. However, I rarelly saw Webb beaten by a speedy rusher, he was an elite pass blocker and Long is not ... already

Long is not right at all.

I hope its just him missing camp and being rusty, but if its not then this regime is worse than I thought.

They are going to destroy a franchise LT so that he goes from Pro Bowler to average LT for the rest of his football life. We are stuck then with not much to show for a 1st overall pick except for a broken down LT thanks to these dummies.
