Jake Long is the NEED Chris Long is the WANT

Its not me that wants him but ive been thinking and just thought knowing how bill parcells likes his draft they would probabbly take chris long he has a freakish size 272 for our outside linbacker with the agility and strength we need and i just cant see bill and ireland taking a lineman with the #1 pick. They probabblly looked at chris long and like everything about him but yea thats my reason. Picture ur self draft day can u picture us taking chris or jake?(please no mcfadden or ryan comments)

I can envision the Dolphins taking either Chris Long or Jake Long. However, my preference is Chris Long.

Id be happy with either. Im not buying that Jake cant play LT in the NFL. Its not like we havent got coaches at that position who cant tweak his minor failings. He is a fantastic prospect and will be a starter from day one whoever gets him. The more you dissect the situation the harder it becomes. Yes we have a need on the O line but im guessing our first 3 maybe four picks will be either all O or all D and we will look at FA after. I love the upside that Chris long has. End or OLB... not buying he cant switch to either. We pay coaches to develop top end players to greatness. If we are saying the players are not up to it then for me it reflects on the coaching just as much.

So removing the splinters from my *** and getting off the fence... Ill take Chris long.

The first choice I believe (and has been well advertised) is the trade down, but I really think they'd except any good trade. I don't think they only want to drop a few spots, I think if there's an offer that's better than okay they'll take it for any spot.

Otherwise I hope it's J.Long and I don't look at it as a need pick, it's more of a there's no other choice pick. C.Long is real solid, Dorsey would be great too if he'd fit but J.Long helps the most people around him and long term will make us much better.

discussion should only center around who's the best player and 'NEED' needs to take a back seat.
