Jake Long sits out

Left tackle Jake Long didn’t practice because of a right ankle injury suffered in last Sunday’s loss to New England.
With the ankle heavily taped, Long did some light running off to the side

Not sure if this is good news or bad news. It looked pretty bad when he went down, good to see that he is on it at least.

I think he will be fine . . . very encouraging that he came back in the game on Sunday . . . I think this is just being precautionary.

We need our best players in the game . . . that means if Jake can play, let him play . . . don't suspend Porter because it's the Rams. . . we have no room for errors, this season has 5 games left . . . we need all 5 of them, starting Sunday @ St. Louis

No surprise. He may even take Thursday off, but he will probably practice Friday. He was able to return to the Pats game, so he is likely just taking it easy for the time being.
