this is some game footage of Jake Long's last bowl game. Pretty good match up with him v Harvey. he doesn't have much footage out there but he isn't at a flashy position but he works hard and has a mean streak which i love in a player.

I see two things in this video
1. ABSOLUTELY NO pressure on Henne's blindside he had all day to throw. I bet Beck/McCown still haven't stopped smiling since the news broke.
2. Big A*# holes to run through. now i love Mike Hart kid is a beast but Ronnie And crew are way better (IMO) if holes like that are in our future :hi5: Ronnie, Ricky, and LoBo will run wild

Now i know this isn't the pros but his punch move is awesome I'm young so i wont compare him to anyone and though his pass blocking skills need to be refined i say this what o-linemens skills don't need to be refined you don't just step into the league and dominate the guy on the other side ALL the time. With his talents and with a FIRE lit under the butts of our players for once i see a bright future for Long and the Dolphins.

57 million and you still have the 4th best LT in the division.

Ok Ok, joking aside, I thought Jake Long or Chris Long were the safest picks in the draft, not the best. I think you guys got a solid OT for a long time. Im not sold that he will be a LT in the future, even though he will start out there.

Oh come on, he got beaten but hardly, he just got caught slighty out of position and Gholston snuck through. If that's the best video against Jake Long then your scraping the barrel! All that can be coached especially with the head coach being a OL coach!

That wasnt this year. Jake Long got manhandled by Gholston even worse this year. Long got owned by Gholston his whole career. One of the reason's why he never beat Ohio State.

Watch 1:18 in (Not VG, but overpowered) 2:33 in (VG just beats him clean) and 2:58 in(Not VG, but overpowered). Thats this year, and it happened all game.
 
my god, thats amazing.

and im thinking Mike Hart (RB Michigan, is that his name?) may be a good pick for us later on...reuniting him with Jake Long.

Well thank God NFL scouts don't use highlight videos of defensive ends to grade offensive tackles. In 2005, and 2006, Gholston had 0 sacks against Michigan. In 2006, Michigan scored 39 points against OSU.

Owned by Gholston? Please.

haha. Gholston only got one solo tackle against Long in the 2006 game. ONE !!

And last year, Gholston did have double digit tackles, but that was during the 40% of the game he was moving around on the other side of the line against someone else.. He only played against Long the other 60% of the game and got only 4 tackles and 1 sack during that time.

So to total it up in the 2 games they faced each other.

Gholston had a total of 5 tackles and 1 sack in 2 games against Jake Long. . Whooptee-doo!


Let,s not forget Long dominated 1st round picks Derrick Harvery and Anthony Spencer, and he dominated Cliff Avril who will go in late round 1, early round 2 this year.. And he dominated other players who will be picked and playing in the NFL.
