Didn't get game here in Ky either, but the RB highlights on NFL .com shows the wildcat and othe running plays and Jake looks good, but JS pulling up the hole is awsome.
Bologna. You mean you didnt care enough to either drive/walk/ride a bike/take a cab or any mode of transportation you wish to go to one of numerous sports bars in NJ that Im sure had the game available, and/or you didnt want to pony up the cash for directv. You couldnt get the game isnt exactly true.

You're bashing him for not being able to watch the game?
Jake Long was absolutely awesome. He made Charger defenders look like school girls all day.. It was fantastic to watch him make mince meat out of those lightning bolt "dolts" . Same goes for the rest of the O-line.
Joe Thomas on the other hand has been average at best this year so far.
So where are the Jake Long bashers now ?
Miami BY FAR has the best young tackle combo in the NFL with Jake Long and Vernon Carey... Mount Vernon also laid the wood down on Charger defenders on NUMEROUS plays today........ In the near future you could see both of Miami's bookend tackles in the Pro Bowl.
Oh my what a difference a REAL strong O-line makes !

2008 AFC EASTERN DIVISION CHAMPIONS!
I was listening to ESPN radio after the game today and Jeremy Green was talking about this game and about how our O-Line dominated against the Patriots and then again today, and then he said, Miami has an average at best O-Line that is playing great right now. Jeremy, how in the world do you call this O-Line "average at best". I think it's more proof of "last years" thinking. It was just mind boggling how he could say that. Anyways, GREAT job by the entire O-line today. I got shivers when the announcer said. "Miami is lining up and saying, we're going to punch you right in the mouth and run the ball at you". That last clock bleeding drive was what you dream of as an O-lineman.

Hey man, "the media and what they say" posts really piss me off.
They are really stupid when you think about it.
And I especially hate it when it tarnishes some real decisive victories that this young team DESERVED and worked hard for.. F*** the media. The media NEVER thought we'd beat the Pats and Chargers in consecutive games.. That's ALL anyone needs to know. period!

I remember that play. Jake had complete control of him then for some reason just STOPPED BLOCKING HIM. He looked like he may have been trying to help Smiley on the inside and expected the RB to pick up the block. Only problem, there was NO Rb back there to pick him up. So I'm not sure if that was his fault or not.
He also lost his balance on another play and got bull rushed backwards in what almost ended up being a sack. But for the rest of the game from what I could tell, he seemed to do a GREAT job. Once he gets the mental aspects of the game and the offense down, and his technique a little more refined, I think he has a great chance of becoming a perennial pro bowler. Great day today for our O-line!
