I can see the attraction to picking up Long. However, you should also keep in mind that families/brothers don't always get along. Even if they do get along splendidly one has to wonder how Jake reacts when/if his little brother gets kicked to the curb. I would give him a look but if you sign him you had better go into it with your eyes wide open.
