Would you rather release grant and go with Jennings? Reasons why..

I'm very high on Jennings. Depending on what Miami does in the draft at wr, my early feeling is it's Parker Williams, Grant,, WIlson, Ford and either Hurns or Jennings for the other spot. Of course things could change with the draft and if they opt to release Wilson. I think Grant is safe for this year, but his future in Miami could could be in jeopardy.

Jennings has good size and speed at 6'1/6'2 212 pounds and running a 4.4. He was touted as a 3rd or 4th round pick last year. The Seahawks tried to waive him and then stash him on the practice squad but Miami scooped him up. He then got injured on special teams after one game with Miami. I think he could be a better version of Isaiah Ford. Jennings looked pretty good at West Virginia. In this year's draft he kind of reminds me of Bryan Edwards of South Carolina. Edaward might be a little bigger.

Thanks for posting that, completely changed my impression of him. I thought he was a one route, outside receiver and had no idea how much he played in the slot and how good he was at the underneath routes. He could be really intriguing.

Grant has really shown me nothing these last few year other then fumbles, drops, a big play here or there but I’d rather go with a Parker Williams,Hurns, Jennings and Wilson & cut Grant .

$7m dead cap hit if he is cut. $2m next year. He was supposed to be this slot WR on a mismatch. He cannot catch and the coaching staff does not trust him. Safe to say this is his last year.

I read here that many think Lynn Bowden could be picked if available in second draft day, in this cas I think that could be Grant or Bowden

Due to cap reasons I think Grant is safe for this season. Parker, Williams and Grant are the most secure wrs on the roster. If they add a rookie or if someone like Jennings earns a spot the three receivers that would be battling for spots would be Hurns, Ford and Wilson. What I would like to see is Grant traded to Denver for Royce Freeman, but it's not going to happen.

I'm impressed with the Jennings highlights. Seems more sure handed than Grant, but doesn't have the same ability to take it over the top. If he is under contract I'd love to see what he has in pre-season games. I don't think this FO is worried about cap implications if the player, such as Grant, is not productive or oft injured.

Couldn't believe Jennings got cut his rookie year after being drafted in the 4th round by Seattle. As far as Jakeem goes, he's a kick returner. While he is shifty and has some speed the dude has brick hands. Not sure he sticks even with the dead cap hit we would take.
