This reminds me of the Preston Williams thread. The moron that started that thread looks like a fool now. I agree JG hasn’t played well on PRs but you know he’s gonna take one back vs the Jets and make everyone eat their words. Lol.
Agree, but that's not even the issue at this point. There are guys bagging groceries that have a less limited skillset. I know there are guys already on this team that wouldn't do worse.
Not to mention how quickly "first contact" brings him down. A major component is missing.I’ve seen enough of Jakeem Grant. He drops balls and he’s too short which makes it harder on the quarterback they have to be more accurate and he doesn’t have a good decision making he’s always running backwards. Where is Malcolm Perry? Jakeem isn’t getting it done
Agreed that's the risk/reward with him.
He could muff a punt and we lose it or he could take one back.
Right now he hasn't done either.
So until that time, I think he deserves his shot like anyone else.
You take him off the field and we literally have zero threat of speed on the field.
That's a problem to be solved next offseason.

He could field a punt beyond the 10 yard line. He could field a punt and run backwards 5-10 yards trying to "make a play". He could muff a punt, he could fumble the ball to the other team, he could run it out of the endzone on a KR to the 15 or 20 yard line, instead of letting it go and getting the ball on the 25. Really, there's so much more that Grant has done in error, than the possibility that he may (once a year?) get a TD.
