Jakeem Grant Return Issues

This reminds me of the Preston Williams thread. The moron that started that thread looks like a fool now. I agree JG hasn’t played well on PRs but you know he’s gonna take one back vs the Jets and make everyone eat their words. Lol.

How many muffs and drops do you need to see to eat your words?

Agree, but that's not even the issue at this point. There are guys bagging groceries that have a less limited skillset. I know there are guys already on this team that wouldn't do worse.

Agreed that's the risk/reward with him.
He could muff a punt and we lose it or he could take one back.
Right now he hasn't done either.
So until that time, I think he deserves his shot like anyone else.

You take him off the field and we literally have zero threat of speed on the field.

That's a problem to be solved next offseason.

I’ve seen enough of Jakeem Grant. He drops balls and he’s too short which makes it harder on the quarterback they have to be more accurate and he doesn’t have a good decision making he’s always running backwards. Where is Malcolm Perry? Jakeem isn’t getting it done
Not to mention how quickly "first contact" brings him down. A major component is missing.

One diving catch not widthstanding he's got awful hands and gives us nothing at this point that you can assume bowden or perry can't surpass.

Its unfortunate he didn't make that catch as well. By my angle, sitting on the couch, it looked like that could go for some major yardage.

Grant has not played well. Hoping he can turn it around quickly.

People were questioning Grant's value to the team prior to the past game where he, once again, muffed a punt, caught a punt near the goalline, and dropped a catchable pass.

JG is playing WR because two other players decided to sit it out, otherwise he’s purely a specialist. He is also a boom or bust player. For now he is what he is and at some point this year I believe lightning will strike again and he will take one to the house. I think that’s what he brings. If he starts hurting the team, which he hasn’t yet, he won’t play, but at this point I don’t see him being benched. For me, I am pulling for the guy because he gives us a chance to win and there’s no one else on the roster who can do what he does.

He could field a punt beyond the 10 yard line. He could field a punt and run backwards 5-10 yards trying to "make a play". He could muff a punt, he could fumble the ball to the other team, he could run it out of the endzone on a KR to the 15 or 20 yard line, instead of letting it go and getting the ball on the 25. Really, there's so much more that Grant has done in error, than the possibility that he may (once a year?) get a TD.

Now you're picking at straw..Fitz could pick his nose and then touch the ball...
Give me a break the overall point is the same...

I'm picking things Grant has actually done in the 5 games this year, you are hoping for what he hasn't done in a year or two.
