Real Name: Jake Hansen

Height: 6'3"
Weight: 230
Screen Name at Finheaven: Hoot {MWB}
How long have you been a member at FH?: Sept 2005
What city,State are you located in? : Omaha, NE
What would you like your primary position to be: OLB
If needed what secondary position can you play?:
TE/FB/RB/DE/WR
Have you ever played organized football? if so explain.(please do not lie, this is not a requirement to make the team):
Currently playing semi-pro football in the NAFL. Of course did little league ball on into high school. Jumped into semi-pro because the college I went to did not offer football, and have been playing it for the past 4 years now. I was selected to the NAFL Pro Bowl 3 years in a row (the past 3) which is hosted down at Disneyworld in Florida at their big sports complex deal.
Explain your Offensive philosophy:
Used to be a huge fan of smashmouth I-Formation football. Coming from Husker country it's what we knew. Recently we've shifted to a west coast offense, so I came to appreciate the passing game a lot more (of course Miami under Marino all those years made me desperately long for a decent running game to come to the Phins). The Run and Gun of Hawaii has always intrigued me but requires a lot of speedy receivers. If I was a coach, I'd focus on a balanced offense which emphasized the run game to control the clock, and utilize the passing game to pick apart defenses that get complacent stopping the run. And of course...all out smashmouth football. Now when it comes to stuff like this, backyard football...heck, anything that works. You can adjust at the field depending on your opponents. Main thing no matter where you are...HAVING OFFENSIVE LINEMAN THAT WILL BLOCK DOWNFIELD!!!
Explain your Defensive philosophy:
Love the 4-3 defense. Of course I'm a big fan of Miami doing it's 3-4 setup because of the players they have. Reality, it's hard to find 3 amazing D-linemen who can handle the load for those 4 LBs to operate at their full potential. In the type of football we play, 4-3 is a solid system that still gives you the beef you need to hold down the line, while at the same time its gives you hard hitting speed in the second level threefold. The other beauty of the 4-3 is that you can easily shift into Nickel packages from it.
Of course from the video it looks like you guys only run 3 lineman...which means my philosophy is about worthless lol. 7 man football is a whole different ball game. In which case, you need some super speedy LBs and secondary. Definitely need players who are good at open field tackles.
Can you donate any money to the travel fund?:
Some for myself...I wouldn't be able to pay for my whole trip though.
What Jersey number would you like to wear?: 40
If that number is not available, what other number would you like?: 39
third choice?:4 or 6
