Im starting to hear this guy name more and more. People have him going in the top ten of the draft. I think I seen a mock draft have him in the top five. I never seen him before, but I heard a couple of people say his name throughout the year. Does anyone have any knowledge on this guy?

I've never heard of him.

Whats his position? What schools he from?

Well, he's certainly big. Probably a physical specimen.

Here is how Mel Kiper has him ranked;

*1. Calvin Johnson, WR, Georgia Tech (6-4, 225) | previous: UR
He's not only a tremendous athlete, but he's also a hard worker and very team oriented.
2. Joe Thomas, OT, Wisconsin (6-6½, 313) | previous: Same
Huge, quick and athletic with a long wingspan.
3. Brady Quinn, QB, Notre Dame (6-3½, 225) | previous: 1
Poised, smart and at his best in pressure situations. Quinn did throw two interceptions in Sugar Bowl after throwing just one INT in his previous eight games.
*4. JaMarcus Russell, QB, LSU (6-6, 260) | previous: UR
Big, strong signal caller with a powerful arm. Decision-making improved significantly this season.
*5. Jamaal Anderson, DE, Arkansas (6-5, 270) | previous: UR
Gifted athlete, coming off an exceptional 2006 campaign. A complete player, equally as solid versus the run as he is as a pass rusher. *6. Adrian Peterson, RB, Oklahoma (6-1½, 218) | previous: UR
Talented RB with an excellent burst to the outside for a back his size. The concern is durability.

Looks like one of those players that most analyst didn't expect to declare for the draft, thats why hes probably flown under the radar so well. But his coming out really hurts guys like Moss, Woodley, and Moses in this draft.

2006 was Jamaal Anderson's first year as a full-time starter and finished the year leading the SEC in sack and second in TFL.

I am from Arkansas and watched every hog game but 3 all season.

He is a great, great college player. This was his first season as a starter, so he lacks experience. However, he is a Junior and declared for the draft last week.

Both he and Junior CB Chris Houston should project to be solid NFL starters.

A top 5 pick on Anderson? I think so. Like another poster already has said, he is equally good against the run and pass. Very balanced. Has the speed to rush the passer, but is thick enough to really stop the run. After a year or two in an NFL system, on an NFL diet and training, he would bulk up more and he could be great.

He probably wont be there for us, but I wouldnt mind drafting him.

Like I said, Chris Houston will probably go in the first two rounds as well.

sometimes looked at like another Mario Williams/Julius Peppers. I wouldn't go that far but just from what I read.

If he is still around when the Fins pick they will have to pick him he is a beast and his size alone will make him very difficult to stop.

I would be sick if we took a DE at #9. Rarely do top 10 defensive linemen live up to their billing in the pros. Julius Peppers is an exception. We can pick up good DEs later in the draft.
