Ok, so I just finished reading this article on ESPN (probably being run as a counter-point to the suspensions article!) about this draft prospect and I am aware that he wouldn't fill any pressing need for the Dolphins but man, this kid is inspiring! He is definitely one I will be watching to see where he goes and how well he performs.
I remember last year doing the sae thing with the kid that Houston went with that ended up getting Defensive Rookie of the Year honors. His name escapes me (how silly I feel...) but I remember reading about the kind of class-act that he appeared to be while in college and thought it would be cool as hell if the Dolphins (or Kansas City seeing as how they are my hometown boys) would grab him.
It's sad to say that real stand-up players are hard to find coming straight out of college. Especially when they are that good.

I think good character is far more valuable and important than many teams seem to think. I hope Cam and Mueller look for good character in every round.

What i like about Anderson is he is big enough to play DE in a 3-4 and 4-3. he would be a hell of a player for our team down the road. He doesn't feel an immediate need but sometimes the best player should win out

I wouldn't be upset if we draft him, I just wouldn't expect him to have much of an impact this coming season.

JT is so important to our team and if he goes down we really have no one to replace him. I have a feeling he'll retire at the end of this season unless we make the playoffs and having Jamaal Anderson to replace him would be great.

Agree. Some of the same qualities of Carriker but I think he rushes the passer better. If he's there at 9, I'd take him ahead of Ginn or Brown. Just think he has a better future. Of course I would like 3 or 4 others first for guys that may be there (Quinn, Landry, maybe Willis, Peterson for trade bait). Anderson can replace the Bowens role and rotate in with Roth and spell our lineman. Potential star of the future once given starters time. Only other D-line guy I would take ahead of him is Adams.

I completely agree. If I was an NFL coach, character would be EQUAL to physical performance...and I'm not just talking guys that aavoid jail time. Men of solid character. Those you look to imitate and hope your kids do as well. After reading that article, I'd be extremely happy if we got Anderson at 9.

amazing talent. He could be the best defensive player in the draft even better then gaines Adams. He has so much possible upside. He reminds me alot of Kearse from Philly or even possibly a bruce smith. I would love him on the team just I dont see him fitting our current needs and defense sadly.
