Dan Shonka tweeted a draft rewind on Jamar Taylor, a promising young QB with durability concerns (Durability will be another question mark with a knee injury in 2009 and a stress fracture in his leg in 2011). I found his comment about Ross and Ireland surprising. But I supposed we need to face facts, the team is struggling, and the fact that few of the rookie class are in a position to help us this year, is not helping Ireland's case at all.
As far as Taylor is concerned, IF he can get healthy and productive NEXT YEAR, he's going to be a sweet player for us. But I'm not real happy that he slid in the draft because of his health, and the more I read on the situation, the more I understand that it was a risky pick. The Herald explained it:

I would say, that not only was the hypertension a factor in regards to meds, but the groin surgery itself might have been delayed because of his condition. Going under general anasthesia often requires other medical contitions to be controlled, first. And the fact that Taylor was a young man, and fit, meant that there could be an underlying cause of the hypertension to begin with.
I remember reading some tweets from Taylor also, being sensitive to a reporter saying he's "falling behind" due to his groin issue, and he attacked back, saying "don't make up stuff." So I don't suppose Taylor is all that happy with the way his career started out, and I'm speculating here...but this is a rookie who is likely to sympathize with another struggling almost-rookie (Martin), and may be expressing his opinion about things for the NFL investigator and/or Martin's camp.
A winning locker room clamps down on a lot of personal issues, and quiets down the external critics and press, while a losing locker room does the opposite. Sad for our team right now.

@mecallis65 That will be another reason Stephen Ross will put on the table when Jeff Ireland is sent packing.

"Jamar Taylor was on a glide path to the NFL, [then came] a routine physical at the NFL Scouting Combine, with results that rocked his world. Taylor’s creatinine levels were high, an indication that his kidneys were operating well below capacity. Turns out, medication for chronic high blood pressure had severely damaged the organs. The condition caused interested teams to step back. Taylor fell out of the first round and all the way to the 54th pick. In the spring, Dolphins doctors determined that he needed surgery on a sports hernia. The normal recovery time for such a procedure is three months, but Taylor faced an added hurdle: He can’t take anti-inflammatory medication."
