Alrighty, I do not know much about this guy. I don't even know if hes coming into the draft. I dont even think we need a qb because personally I think C pep will be fine. But a part of me thinks we do need a qb from the draft we can groom like a rivers or someone like that. With that said I watched the Lsu sugar bowl game, and I really enjoyed watching Russel play. This guy is HUGE and Fast...not only is he big and fast, the guy has a freaking cannon of an arm. From what I saw, he looks like a smart qb too. Anyways what i am saying is, from what I say in 1 game if we do go a qb in the first round and if he is there. How can you pass up on this guy. He could be an instant starter if c pep does not pan out....not someting i say we should do or do i think we really need. Im just throwing it out there to see what you all think.
 
Jamarcus Russell can litterally throw he ball through the uprights from midfield.....from his knees!!! He has a bigger arm than any QB I have ever seen or heard tale of.
 
Well there's a rumor that he has signed with an agent. So it sounds like he is coming out.
 
I think we do have a chance at signing him but I really want Tedd Ginn
 
JeMarcus Russell is out of reach but how about chris leak? maybe pick him up with our 2nd or 3rd pick??
 
JaMarcus will be gone by #9. I rememeber when i'd have to argue that JaMarcus would be a 1st rounder on this site. It's amazing how quickly one bowl game can make your stock rise.
 
Notre Dame's DB's have a way of making QB's look like studs. but Jamarcus was really impressive that game. his accuracy in particular.
 
Some Draft Guru's have JaMarcus going #1 to the Raiders. I wouldn't be surprised, his stock has soared out of no where. He's the definition of an Al Davis pick.

Leak should be a 2nd Day pick. I don't see him being a starter in this league.

Does Leak have the too short syndrome like Troy Smith? I'm a huge Buckeyes fan but have a hard time seeing Smith being a big-time NFL starter. Good luck to your Gators tomorrow night as well.
