WIth the potential of Williams, and what we've already seen...

With Landry and his past success in Miami...

Who would you choose to have on this team if you could only choose one and why?

Right now Jarvis Landry has the edge, because he's done it at the NFL level. Different skillset than Williams. But if Williams continues at this pace and eventually becomes productive on Sundays and develops into the big play #1 he's trending towards. It then becomes Williams by a mile.

Very premature but glad Landry is gone so....
Landry shined like WIlliams in his rookie year......in pre-season everyone was on Landry's nuts....no different and not premature.....two different types of WR also. WHY is it premature? talent is talent......

Yikes. Some of you guys are so touchy on your threads.

The people shitting on Landry are hilarious...dude did nothing but play every game in a Dolphins uniform at full speed. He was a catalyst and emotional lead for the offense that lacked any other personality. He was a hothead of the field that let his emotions get the best of him, but he did give it his all.

I think you can easily be complimentary of Williams and what he is doing without finding ways to degrade another player.

2 very different receivers...

All that matters (in the here and now) is we have Preston on the squad and

he has done nothing but positively impress since he set foot in SFL.

Jarvis Landry should not have been kept at the salary he wanted. That much is clear and the Dolphins did the right thing by getting rid of him. He’s an extremely talented wide receiver, but you can’t pay him that kind of money.

That said, he wasn’t some kind of bum whose talent can be easily replaced. He’s certainly on of the better Dolphins players of recent years. It’s not his fault that Philbin decided that his offensive gameplay was going to be Jarvis Landry on first, second, and third down— and had he been able to punt, Landry would have been out there on 4th down as well. Gase wasn’t much better at using him. But in the end, the Dolphins haven’t been a solid team on either side of the ball in a long time, so you can’t expect they’d make the most of their players.

Landry is a good piece inside a well-run offense; he isn’t the entire offense which is what he was called upon to be while in Miami. No doubt it’s why he thought he was worth so much more than Miami could comfortably pay him.
