I know Jason didn't start, but he played a good game. He should have had 3 int's, maybe even 4 if he would have made a great catch on that 1st one that he dove at. But the good thing is, he is setting himself up to make plays.

First off,I have been one of the Crowder bashers. But, I thought he played one of his best games. He was all over the place, making plays. I think Zach not being here has made him come out of his shell. He has takin this leadership role and seems to be playing with a lot of confidence.

Overall the team was playing with a lot of energy. You can just tell by there body language and energy that they knew they were the better team. It's been a while since Ive seen that. I know it was only preseason and we were playing KC, but I'M EXCITED!

i see the same thing. when pennington hit the field im not scared, i know what he can do. When Beck or Henne gets in im frightful. lets just hope pennington stays injury free this year... we might just have a good season

Well not that this pre-season game has really changed anything, but i never really understood all the hate towards Crowder and Allen. At the very least they are both servicable NFL players. In Crowder's case i'd say he's pretty good. Allen has been average so far, not very consistent i'd imagine there are better things to come from him. Ted Ginn looks excellent this pre-season too. It often takes a while for players to develop and emerge as quality starters. I dont understand why people fail to grasp that.

Its interesting. Crowder looking for a new deal and JA fighting once again for his life.

Jason Allen and Yeremiah the bullfrog at S. NICE!

In the past neither one of these guys have showed any signs of being a game changer. When you use an early round pick on someone you have high expectations of them. And you hope they become more than just servicable. I think that is just part of being a fan.

Allen may have been a reach in the first round.

Crowder was probably a steal in the second round.

I don't think either guy was going to be a "game changer" though.

I have to agree with this. I was always on the outside looking in at Crowder like is this guy going to step up or stay an avg LB. I would have to say he progressed a little in each preseason game. I became a fan of Crowder officially today. Now lets see him play like this week in and week out and I think he's going to be a future leader of this D.

Secondary raised my eye as well, because there were times when Croyle had a good amount of time, but couldn't find someone. Season forcast is looking better each week.

Curb your enthusiasm, its just a preseason game and after all its Kansas City, maybe now where better than one team :hi5:, we still have 30 more to go. Nonetheless, PROGRESS :woot:

Sorry but I still am not sold on Jason Allen. I think he looked good because KC was playing that terrible. One play in particular that I recall, Allen was beat at the goal line for a TD. The ball was underthrown and hit JA literally in the face. Firstoff it was thrown correctly that would of been 6 points for KC. Secondly he missed a great opprotunity for an interception. For as bad as KC played he should of been looking all-pro out there. He was not a good first round choice, IMO.

i saw a mock draft with matt roth and channing crowder both in the first round to 2 teams other then the dolphins we ended up with both of them in 2nd and third.. hopefully theyll both step up and be the future

well i watched allen at tennesee and he was great there, but i have been waiting to see the guy that covered like a cb but hit like a safety. He has came along the last 2 years and i hope he gets better.
This however does bring a bit of irony. Saban was supposed to be a db guru. Travis daniels is gone and allen has yet to live up to his draft status. Sorry but wth.
