player into our returner leading to the fumble as has been reported. I have the game Tivo'ed and have watched the play in question at least 20 times. He is blocking the defender AWAY from our returner, the defender turns left AGAINST the attempted block and nails Welker causing the fumble. It was a snap INCORRECT judgement call by the ref that led to Carolina being awarded the ball. Allen is guilty of a block in the back, the defender interfered with Welker, Allen's attempted block was pushing the defender AWAY from Welker, not INTO Welker. Cut the kid some slack everybody.

I agree with you bro... I think those that don't like Jason have just jumped all over it without really watching what DID happen. Interesting how sure they are too...without actually relooking at it.

Please stop this. It's preseason and nobody will remember this after the season starts. This is what preseason is for........finding faults and correcting them. I just wish people would stop nit picking every little mistake made during the preseason. :tantrum:

Even if was not a mistake.....let it go.

Lets just get ready for the regular season.

My Tivo must be broke, I watched it many times, sure looked to me like he blocked him into Welker. I've been wrong before.

Besides I think Jason Allen is going to be one of our best players, next season, he needs a year to get totally comfortable with both the NFL and with Saint Nick's complicated defensive schemes. The kid has heart, size, great attitude and some serious speed.

Regardless of what happened one thing is for sure: Jason Allen must feel like crap after all his misfortune. No wonder Saban screamed his head off at the kid!

go watch again...the Panther changes direction after the block in order to make contact with Wes...I think he KNEW exactly what he was doing and it was a totally heads up play by him.

The week before against tampa??? :dunno:

"I" knew that, I was trying to figure out the relevance to "this" thread...it seemed like a "hater" statement.

I was just trying to guess too...

Nah...not a hater. I am a supporter of the team and players.

Regardless of who pushed who into Welker, the point is that Allen is not playing well. It is all because the kid came in late to camp. Now he is running backwards with his head up his crack. I wish he get things right soon. The Steelers game is right around the bend. No time to lose.

No, that's not the point of this thread.

hmmm, you sure act like one...what part are you not getting? He missed 10 days of training camp, he has been given the assignment, as a rookie, to learn TWO positions in a VERY complex system and is NOT playing where he is most comfortable. I think he is playing just fine considering the circumstances which are conveniently forgotten to forward an agenda by others. You threw in, out of nowhere, a slam against Jason... I don't get it. Maybe we aren't watching the same games....

Man up! Do you think Jason wants you to tell him everything is O.K. I don't.
He is taking on a lot and I know he is gonna be better for the experience, but if the mistakes he makes along the way go unnoticed then so will the lesson attached to them. We throw steel into the fire to make it stronger, much like Nick is doing with Jason....the message here is that Nick believes he's worthy, and isn't trying to ruin him. Instead, forge him into one of the weapons he knows is strengthened by way of a process few others are able to endure. Go Nick, Go Jason, Go Dolphins.
