Khalil Garriott of NFLPLAYERS.COM writes that "If he is to reach the pinnacle like Manning and the Colts did, Allen is certainly putting forth his best effort. He's spent the entire offseason doing intense training for the upcoming season, hoping to secure a starting spot in the Dolphins secondary."

I don't think Allen will be a starter at the beginning of the season, but if he doesn't secure at least the #3 CB spot, his future with the team will become doubtful.:cooldude:

Glad to hear that his attitude is in the right place....

That gives me more hope that he'll come around...

I dont know Culpepper even when talk of Green came out was sounding pretty positive and that really helped him on this board lol.

Yeah we could have started Culpepper at safety, he did have more turnovers in 4 games then Allen had in 16, maybe he could have taken that magic to the defensive squad...

TC opens up, we will know how much Allen has improved or not soon enough, I think he will be fine even as a #3, with the Patriots loading up on Wr's , we will know if Allen is Tarzan or Jane.

I expect Allen to take a huge step forward this year, but that doesn't mean a whole lot when it is compared to his miserable stats from last year. It may be his 3rd year before he becomes a standout defensive player for the Fins. But I truly believe he will become a great player for us.

Boy oh boy, I hope your right.

i never was impressed with this draft pick but he does desrve a honnest chance to make improvements but but it is hard to do with when a lunitic from the dark side of the moon is yelling at him and jerking him around a like a red rubber ball. i wish the kid success though.:kick:

Granted his performance to date has all of us not too happy with him. But at least he has the right attitude after doing nothing so far. If he continues to work hard i'm all for giving him a bit more time to develop and hope he can contribute to our team before officially calling him a bust.

You cant coach talent, JA has marginal NFL talent. He'll be a nickel or dime back.

to often i hear a "bust" talking like he is god's gift to football. it is nice to hear a first rounder is willing to work hard. I like Jason Allan

Guys remember Surtain did not start his first year and was used mainly in the nickle to cover the slot receiver his second year. That turned out ok (pro bowl)after that. Lets give this guy a chance before we call him a bust. :cooldude:
