I know this is just one man's words, but Cole is not the first to say this. In fact, we are beginning to hear less and less of all the "Culpepper may not be ready until October" hoopla.

John Clayton and Chris Mortenson have said avidly over the past few weeks that they expect Daunte to be a full go in week 1 too.

Culpepper, who is recovering from offseason surgery on his right knee and expected to be ready for the beginning of the season, will have plenty of time to heal and be ready for that game against Childress, who has been critical of Culpepper since trading him to the Dolphins.

I really hope Culpepper can go from day one. I mean, he is already running and he still has another 5 months before the season starts.

I will feel much better though if we can get Harrington just in case.

I think he should be ready....I was more worried about Brees's shoulder than Culpepper's knee when we were looking at QB's. DC may not be able to run as well and move laterally but staying in the pocket may not be a bad thing as he has a cannon for an arm.

Actually if Culpepper is ready to play the first week it reduces the urgency to sign Harrington.

We can make do with someone like Maddox or Martin if worse comes to worse.

And we save cap money to possibly up the ante for Arrington or to acquire another needed player. Also we keep a draft pick.

even though he's phisically limited right now, the fact of him being already familiar with the system is what makes me faithful that he'll be fine by week 1

still......just imagine if we take out the super bowl champs in week 1 with a back up qb :D

Mark my words everyone. Culpepper WILL be ready by week one!!!! I have been following his progress and unless he reinjures his knee or suffers another injury, he WILL be ready, and the rest of the league will have no choice but to tremble in fear. :vader:

and exactly how have u been doing that? are u with him personally everyday?

What emocon did I use?It looks weird.I think Pep will be ready for the season. He wont play in preseason but he will be ready for the season.

i just hope he gets some reps with the recievers and backs before opening day, i mean more than a week of practice so we dont see dropped passes, and miscommunications out there. better news to me would be that he is going to be good to go for training camp.

Well, Daunte is participating in the camps that are going on right now. He is throwing passes to Chambers and Co., he just can't run around under pressure yet. From what I have been reading and hearing, Chambers and Culpepper already have a great relationship.

Yep, you got that right, "We'll have to wait and see".
