It sounded like he was climbing to the top of Mt. Everest for the duration of the call.
 
I guess he assumes that EVERYONE is listening to 790 the ticket in Miami...

I wasn't, but I know he is on all the time and maybe that't where this came from... Who knows!!!
 
he said he would wait for cowher or fisher....in 08 that the fins should hire capers in the meantime..also said short leash on gailey if he goes 7-9 8-8 you can bet dolphins will be in bill cowher sweepstakes next season!
 
He did not have anything to say...He thought Chan was the best fit, but did not get excited by any of the names..the process was not good because the Fins had little experience. He also thought that Bailey was reluctant to give up power so that is why Mueller was not as involved during the interviews.

Absolutely nothing of importance.

That was explained the other night on 790 by the Dolphin braintrust, they did not have Randy at the initial interviews because they were planning on giving control of personnel to Randy, and wanted candidates to answer honestly how they would feel about working with Randy.

It can be assumed, since Randy was at the second interviews, that the coaches that made the first cut were coaches that would work with Randy.

I love that Matt Foley sig. :up:

I thought Chris Farley was funny as hell. Too bad he went down the same road as John Belushi. I think Farley and David Spade would have been a great comedy team in the movies and on TV. David Spade is still a pretty big star at least.

I hate when people say this.....

If this was the case.....why bother playing the next couple seasons....let's just forefiet all our games until the next appropriate coach comes along....

Pluh-ease! It's a WIN-NOW league. We need to hire the best possible candidate NOW, no, not later,.... NOW! If he doesn't pan out, then can him and go on to hire the next possible candidate.

Screw this "let's just settle for this guy now, and for this guy later..."
