Ok, we picked him up and the jets fans were all saying how they liked him in coverage and so on, i for one didnt think he would make the roster maybe not even PS becuase he is older and we have older linebackers as well as younger ones so i figured we were fine in that area...to me in this 3-4 D we have i think he fits in great, he nabed an interseption in game one and got a sack in game 2 and he is experienced. Now, here is my question...does he make the final roster? do we have room for another LB? if not is he PS? or does he just get cut........in my opinion i think he makes it as a back-up or 3rd string and he will see very limited playing time this season

thoughts?

Well, if he continues to make plays, you almost have to put ihm on the roster. He probably plays special teams and serves as a backup. Seau, Crowder, Spragan, Thomas, Pope and Moore could be ahead of him though.

i agree. special teams is a good place for him, but as for moore, idk what hes been doing:shakeno:

I think he will be waived..... and picked up by another team as a back up linebacker

He is already being projected to make the team by local media

He'll make it to the practice squad

I think his past two game performances may not only lead to a roster spot, but some game day spots as well.

another possibilty with seau still healing

He'll be there

He'll make the team. Keep in mind that in this hybrid defense, he is a specialty linebacker (coverage). You will see that linebacker will be the most kept position on the team. I would also expect a trade to happen, with Green Bay being the most likely partner. Bates would love to get someone that knows his system, and I could see Jenkins, or Pope sent over there.

He's still a young guy.

he is only a 3 or 4 year vet so what are u talknig about:confused: not too old i mite add. i think he could end up being a good sub or replacement player i think we keep him for a couple of years and see if he can grab a starting spot.

Whens the last time regular season or preseason we have seen an INT returned for a TD, it's nice to see one go our way for once. The guy has made plays the last two games, what has Eddie Moore done from the sideline in street clothes.

I don't think he is eligible for the practice squad as I'm pretty sure he was on the Jets active roster last year.
