Jason La Canfora takes issue with Biggane's Tannehill report

People are way too impatient anymore. They want 1984 Dan Marino to show up Messiah (or Ayatollah if that's your style)-style, yesterday.

This guy got exactly the reaction he counted on. The coach and now other reporters are commenting on his stupifed comments so he's getting lots of free press. Who cares what he says. He is now and will always be a nobody.

The curse of the law of first mention - strikes again Mr, Behnign or Inane or whatever the heck your name is -

La Canfora basically contradicts all of his other articles with the "lets just sit back and watch" attitude. He is usually the first one to write the knee jerk articles based on media buzz.

Exactly....and go back and look at the percentage of rookie QB's that even succeeded in having a great year in year one.....that percentage is small.

So why are so many so impatient and demanding that Tannehill defy the odds?

Obviously because this organization bypassed QB after QB in round one in the draft to hope a journeyman could be the quick answer.

We passed on future hall famer Drew Brees twice....Aaron Rogers to draft a frigging runningback (Also a likely future hall of famer)

And what do these two future hall of famers have in common....they were not ready to play in their rookie years....think about it!

reggie bush cant run between the tackles....remember that? lol

I still find it hard to believe that Tannehill will beat out two guys that have been at the pro level for a while and have experience. The kid will get his chance, though. I will say that if its at all close, might as well let him take his lumps and get him used to live action sooner than later. If its a wide gap between Tannehill and the starter then, sure, let him have some time to take things in and be more prepared.

I'm bothered that the HC of the Dolphins gave a damn about any of this really.

As long as Philbin doesn't touch on every little nugget the media gives I'm fine with him addressing it. You really can't ignore things like the team has in the past. Whether they are big deals or not, ignoring (especially in this day and age) results in you automatically being guilty. What ends up happening is something will be blown out of proportion and encourage attention whores to say what they think the public wants to hear (I'm looking right at Ryan Clark).

So in short, Philbin coming out and talking to a beat writer when he is flat out called a liar doesn't bother me.
