This is just some perspective from a Bronco fan.

Ryan Clady has allowed half a sack and played guys like Porter, Mario Williams, Demarcus Ware, and Julius Peppers. He's been penalized three times.

Jake Long has allowed 2.5 sacks and been penalized 5 times. He's also mauled in the run game better than most tackles in the pros.

So they both don't go to the pro bowl over Jason Peters.

He's allowed 11.5 sacks and been penalized 8 times. Basically he's about as bad as you can be at tackle. :shakeno:

Sorry for the bad news, guys. Peters going is a total joke. Especially for you guys since he's a division rival.

I'm convinced the only reason peters went to the pro bowl is because the NFL thought it would be best if at least one player from each team made the pro bowl.

This occurred to me as well, but why not send Marshawn Lynch or their corner/return man? At least they can play football.

Wowm he allowed 11.5 sacks? And he got in the pro bowl? Thats complete bull

Bull is the only work to describe it...

Clady should have got in, without question. Long is also MUCH more derving than Peters...but who isn't??

Jake Long is the best left tackle in football and I am not being a homer in saying that. Simple people look at pass blocking only. Long is a tremendous run blocker and that is a big part of the game.

Clady and Peters are similar players but neither is remotely at Long's level. They are athletic but much softer, poor-man's Richmond Webb.

There isn't a single left tackle in football that I'd trade Long for. No one else with half a brain would either. We brought him in to play smart, smash-mouth football and he is doing just that. He has been a God-send for the 9-5 Miami Dolphins.

I like joe thomas... a lot... but he looked HORRIBLE last night and he made the pro bowl as the starter... and jason peterson...that a joke...i think clady and long should be ahead of those two or at least peterson

Thomas hasn't been real impressive all year to be honest

is not the first time that this happens and it won't be the last..the probowl selection has always been a joke....AJ Duhe should have gone a few year and wasn't picked, then 1 year he was hurt half of the season and was picked for the game...Peters tho is one of the worst selections ever for the probowl...but is ok,is another incentive for our players....Penny should have been picked too over Farve

Ozzy rules!!

The Buffalo Bills had a link on their website where if you clicked on one button, all of their pro bowl eligible players received a boat. This guy might be a product of that.

11.5 sacks allowed?

that has to be a typo of some sort.

i dont think ANY team in the world would have a guy as a starter
on ANY position on the line of that were the case. come on, 11.5
sacks allowed? by one guy?

i said earlier that jake long was not ready for the pro bowl and
i still stand by it. he IS mistake prone, lets guys get inside on the
the quick inside move, and i dont see the huge mauler in the run game
that some are saying. i am one of those guys who saves the game
and watches different apsects of it. monday night i watchd the line
play start to finish, as i have all year. and he made some GREAT plays!
that block he came back across the field on in front of penny and shoved
the guy who had gotten through on the RIGHT side allowing penny to get
that td to hanos was highlight stuff! but all in all, i just dont see a down
and down dominant tackle. yet.

and he is a good tackle! i see a pro bowler if he can work the kinks
out of his game that remain. we dont run to the right side all that
much, not as much as one would think with the "greatest run mauler
in the game", right?

i dont think it was an oversight to leave him out at this point.
