Jason Peters?

Not true. This would be a very different situation. Williams still has at least a couple of good years left, and can start for a contender. Williams also demands a lot bigger salary. None of this applies to Peters.

True, but Williams can still play at a high level and has more left in the tank.

Why would Miami want to rent a broken down old LT for one year?

I think it’s important to find out about Jackson’s ability and commitment as our future LT. If it’s not there, we can make a move for a Little, Sewell or Leatherwood.

Figure we will have 2 mid Rd 1s and 2s

don't really see the urgency / compulsion for this...

and as others have noted -- violates our mission

statement as per Grier Flores directive.

Would seem like an out of phase weird sound

emanating from Davie when they've been making

some legit music!

So if Jackson isnt ready to go week one you would rather roll with J.Davenport?
Ididnt say sign Peters to a 5 yr contract. If Jackson is ready ,Peters is swing tackle
and offers protection for Fitz ou Tua

Jason Peters is a D#$K... ask anyone that works in Atlantic City, NJ.... Pretty nasty to anyone that crosses his path, and cetainly not the "mentor" type.....
What casino did he frequent?

I think Peters ends up with a potential contender.

I think you have to let the kids get experience, If a mentor is what you really want lets see if we can get Richmond webb to work as a consultant with our rookies or something lol

I'm honestly don't know if mentoring is really necessary, Its offensive line work not a QB . You block your assignment the rest should be taught by our offensive line coach but for the most part i don't think there is much a mentor could teach a guard or tackle.

I would be happy with this move not only just to mentor but to play. Deiter did not look like a starting caliber guard last year so we could bring Peters in on a 1 year deal to be the vet and mentor of Jackson and Hunt. This means we can get Deiter at RG or Davis at RT out of the starting lineup and put Hunt at RG and Peters at RT this just this year until hopefully Kindley can hopefully be ready in 2021 to start at RG and then move Hunt to RT full time and then we have a pretty good O-line if Jackson and Hunt both work out.

My hope is that our 2021 O-line looks like this (if all are 2020 draft picks work out)

LT - Austin Jackson
LG- Ereck Flowers
C - Upgrade from Ted Karras (Trey Hill?)
RG- Solomon Kindley
RT - Robert Hunt

Borgata and Caesars.. Taj when it was open...
I was a regular at the Taj poker tables. Never went on the casino floor, but dealers always had their horror stories of celebrities.

Davenport (groan)...we could have had Prince Tega Wanogo instead of the long snapper. I'd trust him as a rookie more than trust Davenport as a back-up. Flores and Grier could afford to have him beat Jackson out on camp so we drafted a hiker of the ball.
