His numbers were incredible - 131/2 sacks, 10 forced fumbles, 11 pass break-ups and two touchdowns.

His determination was unsurpassed. After he boldly predicted the 1-6 Dolphins would beat the undefeated Bears in Chicago, Taylor led Miami to a 31-13 rout with a 20-yard touchdown off an interception.

This season, Taylor looks to outdo himself and help the Dolphins escape the AFC East cellar.

"I'll be the first to say 2006 is over," he said. "What I did last year doesn't mean anything."

To Taylor, maybe. To everyone on the outside, last season set a standard few players would be able to match

Hope that D of ours kills the oppesition and get the O the ball more.

It look like Taylor is determined to help stop the losing
another article about JT http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/football/pro/dolphins/sfl-flspdolnote30nbjul30,0,2814985.story Taylor used the Saints' rise from league doormat (3-13 in 2005) to NFC South champions (10-6) last season  under then first-year coach Sean Payton  as proof that "rebuilding" doesn't have to be a lengthy process.

"A couple of years ago they were at the bottom of the league, below us, and we were struggling," Taylor said. "It may not take five years. It may not take one year. We'll have to wait and see. But you are always rebuilding in some form or fashion."
