The New England Patriots want Jason Taylor.

But do the Dolphins?

And if courting him becomes a tug o’ war between AFC East rivals, what would JT ultimately want?

A legitimate shot at a Super Bowl ring or a return to normalcy and a familiar fan base after a frustrating season spent in Washington D.C. away from his family and home?

Upon returning from a little time off after last week’s NFL annual meetings, these questions still hang in the air in South Florida and the Boston area.

But one thing is clear: Patriots owner Robert Kraft is being the aggressor.

See the problem with this theory is that it states that the patriots have a much better shot at the superbowl than the dolphins? Is this true....idt considering the results of last year!!! JT will not have any better of a shot winning a superbowl playing for the pats than he will here

He's friends with many of the guys on the Fins... It's close to home and he has said he has a respect for Sparano. I think it all boils down to whether Tuna wants to pull the trigger. If he makes an offer to JT, I think it will be accepted. Just my opinion.

When people say he will be a good leader etc...they have to base that on either first-hand experience and knowing the person's character, or they must go on what they have done publicly...in this case, I highly doubt many of the people on this site have first-hand knowledge regarding his character, and few players would ever tell the truth publicly; so, I can't go by what they say either....

SOOOOO, based on what he has shown for character last year....NO THANK YOU....HE SHOWS NO LEADERSHIP; EXCEPT FOR A CHEER SQUAD...

He could help develop young guys, because we all know he doesnt have much left, but at the same time, he MAY give us 1 more good year, as guys like Wake, Anderson, Roth, and whoever else we draft/pick up, can watch him and learn.

I think he signs with new england for the simple reason that it is geographically too far for him to jerk off brady from down in miami on a daily basis. Thats just my hunch of course.

You cant go chasing a superbowls or you will be searching for ever. Come home and hope for the best. If his *** would have just stayed he would have been to the playoffs and maybe could have helped us to a victory, who knows. All i do know is that JT is a better LB than any of our guys on our roster (other than porter) Right now.

if its the best option available, for the team, sure. but dont do it for a homecoming.

If he wants a legitimate shot at a Superbowl ring I think he better chose the Phins.....but if he wants to play with a bunch of old men who are heading downhill than he better chose the Patriots. I chuckle how every year the media has the Patriots winning it all......seems like it has been about 5 years since they won anything.

if he goes to the patriots I will no longer like JT and he wont be considered a true dolphin anymore in my eyes
