Jason Taylor just struck a defiant tone on Sunday when asked: What is there still left to play for?
"The season," Taylor said. "We're not done. I know everyone is going to think I'm crazy or whatever, and that's fine. I've been called worse. I'm going to be optimistic. I'm going to keep fighting. We have zero room for error."
Sunday's 26-16 loss to the Chargers made sure of that.
"We've got four losses," Taylor said. "No one's going to believe we can go on a 12-game streak or an 11-game streak. But if we want to do what we said we wanted to do, we're going to have to. It's as simple as that."
And then he did what he has done before: Use the media to deliver a message to his teammates, especially the ones who haven't been pulling their weight.
"If you don't want to be on this train, get off it," he said. "We're about to take a stop here for a week [for the bye week]. Feel free to get off. The guys that are on it down the stretch, we're going to go out there and play our best and hopefully get this thing fixed and turned around. We have zero room for error. Time is of the essence right now."
