Good article about JT and his current status. Mentions talking to Phins.

When asked about playing for the jets:

''It'd be very, very, very difficult,'' Taylor said. ``At the end of the day, if I couldn't find a job anywhere else and the Jets called, I guess I'd have to retire or go play.''
The Jets have been in contact with Taylor but nothing is expected to happen.

This JT situation is tough, we're in the middle of a rebuild and they are trying to build a mentality here in Miami. I believe JT still has something left in the tank and no matter where he plays this year, he will help that team. I just don't know if it's Miami. I wish we were in year 4 of this coaching staff, by then Miami will have filled all their positions with a nice mixture of youth an experience, but right now Miami is still in early part of this coaching staffs infusion of philosophy..they're still tweaking things, so to speak. All that does is make it a little tougher "right now" to bring JT back imo. I really hope we sign him, I think he will make us better defensively, especially considering how imnportant the pass rush will be to this teams success this year. We'll see, I have my fingers crossed.

Ofcourse he does. Only idiots have bad things to say about Jason Taylor and these young ****y kids who don't know squat about the last decade of Dolphin football yet think they call him a pansy for dancing. LMAO at the thought of someone making fun of him TO HIS FACE.

Jason Taylor's the best defensive player I've seen in my Dolphin life time. (I am 28)

Great guy, great player. All that needs to be said.

He was an owed an oppurtunity at a championship and we were owed compensation. Washington falling apart is just icing on the cake IMO.

Anyone with ill feelings towards JT should let them go because he's going to be a big part of south florida and the future of the Miami Dolphins.

I get bringing him back and I get wanting to go with youth. Win-win as long as he doesn't go to NE. Which at the end of the day I don't think he will. His legacy would forever change.

I didnt post that to sound off against JT. I love him. I just thought it was good to see that after all the games he wouldnt wanna play for the jets. Now if he says no to the Pats offer as well than he has earned his spot in the Miami Ring of Honor IMO.

would love to have him back in miami. he'll come relatively cheap and will help our seemingly anemic pass rush. when all is said and done, it is only right he retires a fin.

think about it. porter and taylor opposite each other. wake and first round pick - hopefully english or sintim - learning behind and spelling them. sounds ideal to me.

He will be a big part.. or he was? Cause I have serious doubts that he'll be a big part of anything here again.

If he went to NE it wouldn't bother me one bit. It's not like he's the intimidating pass rusher he used to be.

Jason Taylor will play for whoever makes him the best offer. If its the Jets then that is who he will play for.

Forget all the JT haters, he is still one of my favorite fins of all-time. What would you do if you had played for 11 years, were getting old and wanted a ring? Stay with a team that just dumped half the roster and all the coaches and went 1-15? I dont think so. He did the right thing, I just hate that the only teams that want him are in the AFC east. Maybe they just dont want him to go to us?

That's true he is playing for the coin not for the right to be a dolphin... he changes the chemistry and I for one don't want a coach-killer..., and a guy whose got a great bod but it wore down when it mattered most...

And by the way I watched his career unfold on TV... and I still feel this way...,

JT is almost, and i mean ALMOST in the same category as Nick Saban is as a 2 timing liar. I know some feel differently and i can respect that you still like him a lot, he was a very good player for us for a very long time. But ive lost respect for him the way he went about that offseason. And no it didnt have to do with the Dancing BS i was actually all for that its after that which turned me sour to the whole ordeal.
I say yes and no to Taylor coming back here, if he is truly willing to partake in everything thats expected of him and he takes lesser amount of money to play in FL again then sure hes welcome. (that would be enough of an apology to me)

JT left when the Dolphin players were working out in the off season. The Dolphin players won their division and we should all congratulate them for their success. On the other hand you have a guy that wouldn't work out with the Dolphins, wouldn't work out with the Redskins and now wants to rejoin a team that has a chance to win the division again. Oh yea that same guy wanted to leave and play with a team that had a chance at the playoffs...how did that work out???

No thanks, I'll take the players that were dedicated to this team and won the division, not the guy that when for the cheap playoff appearance and didn't want to work out, now wants to use us as a bargaining tool with NE.....

But one always has to love the argument from some, that you are a hater if you don't want him back, not much intelligence in that argument......

How do you know which teams and which teams are not intrested in Taylor?

Maybe the supposed interest from division rivals are rumors being leaked by JT's camp to try to see it creates any interest in signing him.

Has any team came out and publically and expressed any interest in him yet?

Seems funny to me, that if he is reveered around the leauge that no team has locked him up yet. I guess they all got together in a collective agreement to make him offers after the draft. :rolleyes2:

OH I know what it is, Jason told everyone that he would not be listening to offers until after the draft because he is so loyal to Miami and understands that we will not be prepared to consider his return until then. Because he is so loyal he has suspended all offers and because he is such a high demand player all the teams are agreeing to these terms. :rolleyes2:
