jason taylor looked really old today

Of course, I never expected him to have much of an impact except as a pass rush specialist. He's not an every down player anymore.

This

His 13-14 sack days are behind him.

We'd be lucky to get like 5 out of him in the capacity that they use him.
 
he is really old, is coming off a terrible season in washington and is only supposed to be a situational player for us, forced in by injury... what do you expect?
 
looked no older than Porter tonight who in reality did nothing. Im sure if Taylor blitzed and nobody blocked him he could have had that sack

Very true. The defense as a whole looked slow.
Priorities for this team. Get Henne playing time to see what you've got and then draft defense, defense, defense.
I don't see this team beating the Chargers or Jets. I think we are looking at 0-4 to start the season.
 
It hurts that Roth is on the PUP. I think it is time we see a little bit of what Wake can do. If for nothing else, just to give JT a breather.

I dont want to go into panic mode but this tam has alot more holes than we thought.

Need to get a long term starter at NT
Need to get some OLB's to replace our two older starters at some point, not sure we have one on our team that will be a good starter
Need another ILB
Need to get a safety that can cover
Need depth on oline, one starter goes down and we are in deep dog doo.
We have no experienced depth unless u count being inactive all your career for Berger
We have no receiver that can make more out of a play than the defense gives them
We have one NFL level TE and he is looking very average so far this year
We have no qb that we are sure is the future although most of us think Henne is that guy.
We also need to draft a runningback with Brown soon a free agent and Ricky soon to retire


Also cant we find a kicker that can actually get a touchback

This is the same reason I have always hated the Pat White pick. We have real needs and he seems to fill none of them. The wildcat is just fine without him and we need starters not situational qb's.
 
Didn't JT pull the cha-cha to get the sack only to have it called back 'cuz we were offside? I dunno, he's up there in age and wasn't expected to be in on every down.... need to start rotating him...bring in WAKE!

Why I mean he is so good the are activating Moses, Walden and Anderson over him.
 
just saying from what i hear, wake has an explosive first step... i'd like to give him a chance..
 
JT had a great stop, nullified by an offsides.
